My stay was not what I expected from a KOA. When I checked in they would not accept my American Express for payment and my wife had to use her card. The grass was not mowed in the campground and very unkempt. The showers were either burning hot with no control or they were totally cold. I reported it to the front desk and her response was “I will telll my Dad”. It was a good location.

I am sorry your stay wasn't what you hoped for. We've had daily rain for twenty days- while beautiful, makes it impossible to mow! As for my dad, well.. he is superman around here- He replaced a faulty balancing unit in your shower. I sure hope you give us another shot in the future. Safe travels!

We only stayed overnight, but the campground was conveniently located to the interstate though not right on it, the grounds were easy to navigate, the hook ups worked well and the staff was helpful.

Very tight spots not worth what they are charging.

Your 44 ft motorhome was in a 75 ft pull through with the standard pedestal-to-pedestal width for KOA. Not narrow or small by RV standards. You paid $61 a night before tax. We have ample extra-wide sites if you prefer more space when staying with us again in the future.

Fabulous from start to finish. We really enjoyed the new section with the Solo Stove, the only way we 'camp fire' due to limited smoke. Paul & family, I have noted your campground all over Facebook and with 1400 Airstreams making their way to Rock Springs, WY for our International Rally, hopefully you'll see some additional aluminum adventure pods in the park.

We love this Koa! It is always so clean and the staff is always so friendly! This is the 4th year we have stayed there and it just keeps getting better every year. They are always working on new improvements. We love getting a patio sight by the creek! So peaceful! Hoping to make another trip there soon!

My wife and I had a great stay! Our spot was super clean. Nice spacing. Helpful staff. Toured a number of local places, including Crazy Woman Canon Rd, the local museum and the Occidental Hotel and Saloon., Buffalo has a real depth of history and is an attractive community. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot for our one night stay. Plenty of things for the kids to do and the pull through site was easy to navigate. The grounds were clean, everyone we encountered was friendly. We would stay here again!

This was one of the best KOA Journey we have every stayed at. I would have liked to book there for a week. Our site could be described this way. Well maintained, beautiful back-in site overlooking the creek. Wake up hearing the beautiful sounds of the creek in a well maintained and beautiful site. Relaxation in Wyoming. This is not a stop over place, this is a place you come back to and visit.

We are definitely more than a one night stay and many of our guests express that sentiment and do come back to stay. Our park is beautiful, the area is full of things to see and do and the town folks are great. It is a pleasure to live and work here.

Great people and service but site was set up so that full hook ups were not in the correct spot and we had to buy more hose at the koa store full price

Great philosophical question: what is the correct location for hookups? Do you design for a travel trailer, 5th wheel, or motorhome? Front, mid or rear connections? Unhitching or staying connected? Correct spot may be more of a philosophy rather than a science, so you should always be prepared.

Beautiful view and very peaceful. The staff are wonderful and no complaints about the daily pancake breakfast which was low priced and saved us a great deal of time in the morning. The only down side is the long winding ride into the campground but worth the view!

Best campground I have ever stayed at, and I stay at a LOT of them as an almost-full-timer! Beautiful, clean, well-maintained, friendly staff. Very good experience all the way around.

This was our second visit in about two weeks! We’ve found the staff to always be quite helpful and courteous, the campgrounds very clean and our campsite was absolutely beautiful—right on the creek, very spacious and always meticulously clean!

Great place to be “on the way” to Badlands and Yellowstone…….very clean, nice sites with lots of room, good places for the pets to roam, and a nice pool (which we didn’t use, but looks nice if you have kiddos)……we were in a 25 ft RV but the tent sites were also very nice. Lots of mosquitoes, so bring bug spray!

Wow! What a great KOA!! We truly enjoyed the site, the stream, the cleanliness, the layout! Buffalo has become my very favorite KOA! Keep up the great work! We will definitely return and hope Site 55 is available 👍🏻🇺🇸

Stayed here on night early March when it was still closed for the season. We called and they were accommodating. Paid via the dropbox in the main office. Laundry and bath facilities were open. We had to use the water fill station due to sub freezing temps but that is expected this time of year- no water at the sites. We were very appreciative to have a place with power and water to stay overnight.

We became stranded due to car trouble, in December! We called and they called us back immediately and had us a cabin in just a few minutes. We ended up staying 2 nights. The restrooms and showers were clean and water temperature perfect! Such a beautiful area and the residents of Buffalo are so nice!!
