Our neighbor to the West is a really nice rancher. Please respect his PRIVATE PROPERTY by not trespassing on the West side of our campground. It is a huge liability for him to have you climbing on his rocks. We have insurance for that, so please stay on the rocks on our land. His land is marked by fences and PRIVATE PROPERTY signs. If you accidentally walk onto his property, or if you get lost, just turn around and continue East towards the campground. If you really need help getting back to the campground the rancher is willing to direct you, just please do not harass his animals.
Parking is only permitted within campsites and in designated parking lots. Absolutely NO parking in the roads. You can find parking lots marked on the Kampground Map.
Public use of alcohol is prohibited outside of individual sites. There is no smoking or drinking allowed inside any of the KOA buildings. Please make sure all smoking products are disposed of in the proper receptacles. Remember, only you can help Smokey prevent forest fires!
Quiet time is 10pm to 8am. Violators will be asked to leave without a refund.
No clotheslines or hanging clothes, towels, or anything outside RVs, tents, or vehicles of any kind. Particularly from the trees, they are very fragile.
Generators are not allowed to be operated on the campground at any time of the day.
Absolutely no hanging of hammocks from the trees. The pinon pine trees you will find around the campground are very delicate and can take hundreds of years to grow, please respect the environment around you! Remember, leave only footprints and take only memories.
Pets must be kept on a leash and with a responsible person at all times. Pets may not be left unattended. Please make arrangements to take your pets with you when leaving the campground. Clean up after your pet! There is a $7.00/night pet fee for the cabins. Pets are not allowed in the tent cabin or in the teepee. No pets are allowed in any of the KOA buildings. There is a two pet limit for all of the cabins. Absolutely NO pets are allowed on any of the mattresses in the cabins - you WILL be charged for any and all damages. All dogs are welcome. Allowing your pets to bark uncontrollably day or night will not be permitted and you may be asked to leave if you are not able to control your pet. If at any point your pet becomes aggressive we reserve the right to ask you to leave the property without a refund. Service animals are welcome at our campground, however these animals must follow leash restraint policies and may not exhibit aggressive behavior.
Check In is after 2:00PM. Check Out is by 11:00AM. Please make sure that the camping site is clean prior to leaving.
The speed limit on the campground is 7 1/2 mph. Please do not speed. The campground has children, pets, bicyclists, and wildlife crossing the roads at all hours. Please be aware of your surroundings when driving in the campground.
Please do not walk or drive through campsites!
Please conserve water!! We are limited to the amount we can use each year. Washing of vehicles is not allowed on the campground, there is a car wash in Buena Vista that will accommodate RVs.
Visitors must sign in at the KOA Store. At sign in they will receive parking instructions.
We recycle plastic, glass, aluminum, and cans. You can find the bins near the Trash Dumpsters and Restrooms.
Dishes may be washed in the utility sink found behind the bathrooms. Please do not use the utility sink in the laundry room or the sinks in the restrooms.
There is firewood for sale in the KOA store. No cutting or harvesting of timber is allowed.
Fireworks and loaded firearms are prohibited within the campground.
Use caution when climbing rocks on the campground and in the surrounding area. Be aware of mine shafts and other potential hazards while hiking the surrounding area. Please stay off the rocks on the West side of the campground, this is part of our neighbor’s property. There are NO TRESPASSING signs.
Motorcycles, dirt bikes, and ATVs are not to be ridden for recreational benefit anywhere on the campground. ATVs are to be towed to riding areas.
Spectacular mountain views and a rustic feel sold us on the campground- they'll sell you on staying here!!!
Activities available include white water rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing, and fly fishing. They said the campground is ideal for anyone seeking a fun, natural experience.
Delivery of firewood and any other needs are provided so the camper has an enjoyable stay. Cook shack serving breakfast is available during the summer season as well as trail guides.
