Very unlevel sites for the price you have to pay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our sites are level within 2 inches side to side, most sites are lower on one end for drainage. We escort all campers to their sites and if there is a problem with the site we will move you to another site if available.

Great service and a clean, well organized location. Management upgraded us free due to flooding. This place is our new traditional trip destination. Highly recommend!

Just did a pull through for the night but a beautiful campground and friendly, helpful staff.

STAY WAS GREAT !!! CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK AGAIN.

Good trip as always. Kids had lots of options. Very strict rules caused them to miss out on their round of golf but otherwise it all went smooth. Several commenters mentioned the mosquitos and they were a little worse than usual this year but it's rained far more than normal also. Pricey but still our favorite campground.

showers mosquitoes infested and bleach needed for cleaning mold shower also rest of camp rate #1 drop to #5 because of showers.

Great but packed in like sardines

Beautiful park. We were only passing through. My only disappointment was that I was not informed that cable was part of the sites when I asked for a site where our satellite dish would work. I had to pay $14 extra for a premium site to not be in the trees. I didn't ask the right question, but good customer service rep would have asked me if I knew cable was included.

Lots to do for kids. But if you're traveling and passing through it is to expensive. So many mosquitoes I got 22 bites. For $72 a night, they certainly they could afford to spray the area for mosquitoes. TV reception was poor. The staff was just okay not as friendly as most KOA staff. Level sites, clean, secure. Just expensive for overnight.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our County Health Department checks the creek and the entire campground weekly and has never found the creek area to be a problem. They also spray each Thursday night unless it is raining. We do everything they suggest to lessen the threat of the Mosquitoes.

Awesome as always
Jul 16, 2014
You guys really need to control the mosquito population due to the standing water in the ditch that runs down the center of the park. Otherwise the Kampground is great!
Jul 16, 2014
Nice clean place but I thought the nightly rate was a bit high.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The rates reflect the amenities and time of year you camp. The weekends are normal rates and weekdays are reduced. Holidays are a little higher.

We had a family reunion there and this campground was one of few that allowed us to enjoy our self late into the night. They kept an eye on us but allowed us to stay up around the campfire till the wee hours and the staff was very pleasent!!! Thank you for providing us a fabulous place for our reunion.

Campground is very clean. The campsites are very small though your picnic table is right beside another capers septic hook up. A little to much security, kids cant ride their bikes past dusk. Only one device on Wi-Fi is pretty much ridiculous for $75.00 a night.

Staff was incredibly helpful and professional. They were genuinely friendly and attentive; probably the best I have experienced in my travels. Sites were way too close together for my taste. The grounds were well maintained and clean. I would stay there again.
Jul 14, 2014
Mosquitoes were terrible!! Dump station needs to be relocated or drive widened so that you can pass someone to leave.

This KOA is by far one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The employees are helpful and kind, and we always look forward to staying here!

This KOA was a one night stop over enroute to a destination in Pennsylvania. I only needed minimal services with no need for activities, etc. The services were adequate for my needs, however, I felt the charges were higher than I would have preferred when all I used was space and electricity.

At 79.00 a night with are 5 wheel 50 amp is pretty steep.. and the hooks up were not lined up properly so we could use the 50amp service cause the outlets were to far apart from each other there is better places right down the street and still very close to Buckeye Lake..and they are 30 a night ,, so double think before you stay here,.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The place across the street is a mobile home park mainly for monthly campers, no pool etc. All campers are escorted to their site and if the hookups are not suitable we always try to move to another site.

Unfriendly and too many "Rules"

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We all must have rules. Anywhere you go there are rules... the mall, the local swimming pool. If we had no rules here, no one would want to come. This is a family campground and when we must enforce the rules, we are unfriendly or rude.

Stayed overnight, en route to our next destination. People who work here are LOVELY! The ice cream is DIVINE! Kids like the bouncy pillow and playground.

My state at Buckeye Lake/Columbus East, OH was very nice. The location of the campsite made it nice to visit nearby events and attractions such as Buckeye Winery for tasting and the zoo.

A great place to stay for a night or many nights. Well kept, very friendly and plenty to do.

During the night of our stay, we had 5 inches of rain. Needless to say, the campground was flooded. The staff was very proactive in helping us to get out of our site and on the road. We appreciate their prompt action and assistance.
Jul 04, 2014
We enjoyed our stay; made us feel welcomed.
Jul 03, 2014
We liked everything about our stay.
Jul 01, 2014
Nice campground with good security. I would return again. This is the ONLY highly rated KOA that I have been too that charges visitors after 5 PM. The charge should be done away with !! Glad to see that they now recycle. Staff outside office need to work on customer friendliness. Acted as though they did not trust their customers.

This is a great place for campers. especially if you have kids. Lots to do for them. The staff is awesome. And the bathrooms and showers are real clean. The internet connection can use some improvement.
Jul 01, 2014
Very family oriented. Excellent facilities. Excellent activities.
Jul 01, 2014
Very peaceful, shady park with creek running through it. Yellow-shirted camp hosts were busy leading campers to their site and helping in the office.
Jul 01, 2014
A little pricey compared to other comparable campgrounds

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The rates are in direct proportion to expenses of the campground, repairs and maintenance, salaries, taxes and any other expense due to location not compared to other properties.
Jul 01, 2014
Overall, stay was awesome; however, I think the cost for a visitor is way too high!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for your great comment, the only reason for the Visitor charge is that the pool and all amenities are open and available to all visitors. We will refund the visitor fee for visitors that stay less than 1 hour

Extremely clean campground with plentiful & clean showers. Lots of fun, well monitored activities for families. Just be aware that the 11pm quiet time is not always enforced. When we were there the last time a large group started singing at 11:00 & the singing didn't stop until 12:30. Then, they laughed & talked loudly until 2 am. Thankfully, this wasn't an issue on our other visits to this KOA.
