This was our very 1st trip ever, and Rhonda, George & Larry and everyone were so friendly and helpful to a pair of "newbies". Plus, it was so nicely wooded and clean. We intend to stay there again on our way home!

Nice very friendly people great location close to the lake and the highway many wooded level sites very clean Campground

Close to the highway and local attractions but still very quiet and it felt so secluded in the trees. A lovely campground. Staff was top notch, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it!

Nice park and well maintained, but priced so much more expensive than other KOA parks?
Aug 08, 2016
We stayed for 10 days and both weekends were packed with activities. Our sites were shaded, which was nice for the hot weather, and long for the big rigs. Great swimmimg pool and other ateas of entertainment for children.

Had a wonderful time. The staff were courteous and cheerful, especially George and the girl at the Gazebo! Just a great family time with activities and extras!

The stay and accomodations were great, had neighbors that came over and complained that we were too noisy?? We in my opinion were not, just enjoying getting together with all our kids, which we do once a year, generally at your place. Next time maybe I'll ask to be put at site with no neighbors?? We were not being loud and out of hand

Very good time spent at the campground. Spenty for kids to do.

Nice stay, but very expensive for visitors. We live close by and 6$ per person seems a bit , especially for families for just a few hours...close to the cost of a full stay.
Aug 08, 2016
Great stay. Very family oriented. Less oriented towards young professionals.
Aug 08, 2016
Your site compared to others was credible, however charging guests who arrive at 6PM is deploreable and embarassing. What are you charging them for, the right to drive on the road?

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Everyone who is not registered, is a guest and pays a guest fee. If they stay less than 1 hour it is refunded. This is the only way to monitor the campground. Visitors have full use of the campground & are covered by our insurance should they get hurt.

The owner was very rude and unwilling to listen. He accused me of "forcing" entry into the pool then proceeded to give my family dirty looks as he cleaned the pool. The pool opens at 9am, we arrived at 9:50a and headed into the pool area. Yes, the gate was harder then I figured it should of been to get in, but the lock was not used correctly. I don't think we'll be coming back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The swimming pool had a lock on it. When something has a lock on it and you get inside that would be forcing your way in. When something is locked you should ask if it can be opened. No one gave anyone dirty looks. We lock the pool the same way, every day...Hard to open because it was locked!

The only disappointment we had was the internet access, only one item could be connected per site. With the number of people with laptops, smart phones, Ipads, etc. we found that an inconvenience.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Campers receive 1 FREE internet access code per stay.If campers want more connections, the charge is $4.00 for each.

Your campground was nice and clean. I think that it is wrong to not allow barn beams and construction wood scraps for fire. I don't move bark covered wood. Camping is for fires. I don't like to be forced into buying your wood or having to hide mine for use. Add a few more activities for kids on Saturday. I will come back when the wood policy is changed.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Lots of times when we allow campers to bring their own firewood, there is planks and pieces of wood with nails in them. For safety reasons, we don't want our employees to have to clean out firepits with nails in them. Our firewood policy stands as it is. Sorry you will not be returning.

Gameroom terrible.Buddy sites no good. Grade & fill RV sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Game room is enjoyed by many adults and kids and offer a variety of games. Buddy sites are also loved by many people and are great when camping with others or for making new friends. Other site choices are available. Not sure what is needed regarding filling. Our sites are fairly level.

We arrived on a Sat night & they had EXTREMELY loud music playing up by the office for a dance party they were hosting. It was blaring until 10 at night!! The drain in my shower stall was plugged & I had to stand in water while I showered.

3rd KOA with prior stays in Maine and D.C. "Nickle & dime" here and an overt focus on fees. Raise the price of the overall stay and include more! Poor customer service: Asked to switch sites at arrival. Chey/Shay rudely responded "Well, why? What for?" The other kabin was available, they had the same stay duration. The other Kabin folks arrived 4 hours after we did. Unnecessarily rudeness.

We had a great time here. Plenty to do. Relaxing atmosphere.
Aug 01, 2016
We had a great stay with young kids! A lot of variety for children of all ages!
Aug 01, 2016
We were relaxed. We felt safe with the Buckeye Lake PD patrolling inside the park. The kids and big kids enjoyed Super Soaker Weekend activities!
Aug 01, 2016
Felt unwelcome by the lady owner. She was very rude and unfriendly. We won't be back.
Aug 01, 2016
This is the second time I stayed at this location for my daughters softball games. Very clean, friendly , a lot of activities going on. The only downside is at night a lot of mosquitoes every night had to go in they were so bad . They did spray on Thursday nights but seem like it didnt help. Will definitely come back

The restrooms need updated.Screws ttaching FRP laminate are all rusted, spiders in corners. Showers don't have enough ventilation. A an drove up in a golf cart right into my camp smoking a cigarette with his engine running at 8:30 am wanting to know if he could take my trash already. How nice but could he stay out of my camp, not leave his gas fumes running and not be smoking like a stupid red nec

Staff wasn't very friendly. They seemed irritated that we showed up. The reservation was made 9 months before our stay so it wasn't like we just showed up. We had 11 people and 8 tents. Which was also mentioned when we made the reservation. They said we would not be able to fit that many tents. they took us back to the site and we found that we had about a half acre of room to set up. & poison Ivy

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This was a scout group and was given a reduced rate, we always welcome our scouts and yes we gave them a large area as we always do. Staff didn't realize it was a scout group and was going by standard policy of 6 people per site but manager took care of it. There is no poison ivy where you camp at.
