Apple Blossom Tyme Festival May 24-25
Apple Blossom Tyme Festival May 24 & 25, 2014--Colborne-Cramahe Apple Blossom Tyme Festival is a fun and friendly community festival in the village of Colborne that happens on the last weekend in May each year. The festival welcomes everyone to experience the village and surrounding area in springtime, when there are wonderful apple orchards with beautiful and fragrant blossoms to enjoy. In the village, there is a collection of local vendors and food to sample along with vintage cars and tractors on display, a soap box derby race, a midway, baking contests, a competitive and fun spelling bee, and lots of other contests and activities.
Doors Open Ontario in Northumberland June 7 & 8
Take a step back in history at Doors Open Ontario in Northumberland, June 7 & 8, 2014. The Doors Open concept is a simple one: buildings of architectural and historical significance, many of which are not normally open to the public, open their doors to visitors for a day or the weekend. Many provide guided tours, special exhibits, displays or performances. All free of charge.
July 1st, 2014 Canada Day Festivities
Festivities will be held in King Edward Park, Brighton all day.
3rd Annual Big Band Festival- Trenton.
Join us on Sunday July 20th at the Amphitheatre in Centennial Park, Trenton, Ontario to be swept away to another era and hear some of the best names in Big Band Music, including The Brian Barlow Big Band with special guest vocalist Barbra Lica, Swing Shift Big Band and the Ragweed Jazz Band. In addition to the music festival-goers will have the opportunity to dance the afternoon away. Huff Estates Winery will be onsite, and food will be available.
Catch a free glimpse of whats to come at the Festival on Saturday July 19th in the centre of downtown at Trenton's Riverfront Square - Quinte Wests new pedestrian area along the water behind Front Street - to take in free performances by The Commodores' Orchestra and the Dan Bone Trio.
Aug 29- 31 Monarch & Migrants Weekend at Presquille
Labour Day weekend is our annual Monarchs and Migrants weekend. Just as May is the big month for north-bound migrants, September is best to see those heading south. The big bonus however is that insect migrants are more noticeable at this time of year.
