On I-17, 25 miles north of Phoenix: Take exit 242 (rock Springs/Black Canyon City) and turn east. directly ahead is a sign: Frontage road. Follow Frontage road; KOA entrance is 1/2 mile on right. Avoid exit 244.
If I was in a camper or cabin this would have been enjoyable. I brought a tent that just fit into my camp site. The pictures are misleading. There are 6 tent sites which are stacked on top of each other. No privacy. Not to mention the elementary school in ear shot so you hear everything. And the women's bathroom door hazard I cut my hand on.

Entry/exit roads poor.

Great people there, willing to help. Made a wonderful turkey for Thanksgiving. If this campground had a nice play area it would be kid friendly. Great adult campground.

Loved the park...easy access, low road noise, & friendly staff!!! The only negative was the Dog Run. We were unable to use the facility because the park has goats penned right next door!!! We have a herding breed, so they were more interested in working the goats instead of doing their business!!! We appreciate parks with dog facilities because it gives the dogs time to romp off-leash!!!

Super knowledgeable and helpful about the area attractions, clean and accommodating. Only thing I would change is the cactus around some sites - I would remove them if allowed.

Camp host friendly-- location perfect for our needs. We just needed an afordable place with utilities for the night. --- Kamp ground baths and other facilitys very worn and dirty. Over priced for quality of facility and brand. -- location only reason for staying---

Luckily this was just a stopover for us. The person in the office was so rude! My 80-year-old father tried to get a cup of coffee in the morning and instead was given a speech about how he shouldn't drink coffee! Very few items in the camp store, bathrooms were in great need of updating and no amenities to speak of.

Our friends had a power surge on their motor home. The owners were not helpful at all. They were working on the electricity when they arrived. When the elec. was turned back on it fried all the electrical components in their coach....the owners said it was like that when they came in. Can you believe the owners would not "own" up to their own electrical issues! That's really back business.
