Trees need to be trimmed so coaches can drive through TIGHT spaces, feels old and could use a lot of street work. Just OK

We were stopping through on our way to Yosemite. We really enjoyed the area and the site. It was beautiful. The Avenue of the Giants trail was the highlight for us and being so close to so many beautiful activities.

My girlfriend and I stayed a week at Benbow KOA California. Riding electric bikes we brought, taking long walks, swimming at the wonderful pool, eating at the historic Benbow Inn, spending time with kids and grandchild. And most of all we relaxed and rejuvenated our souls in this beautiful place. Thanks ����

Couldn’t have been in a better place during surprising downpour, thunder and lightening. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Cherry on top was dinner at Benbow Inn. Special mention: the restrooms and showers are immaculate. That was most appreciated. We will be back when again in NorCal.

After a long day of driving, it was great to get to Benbow KOA. Very nice, clean campground. The hot tub and swimming pool were just what I needed. We will stay there again.

Very nice people. Need some landscape cleanup around office, some of the weeds were taller then me and had been there a long time. Lots of dead grass at sites.

Very nice campground! Lady at the desk, I think her name was Ellen, let us move to a shady spot closer to the pool and hot tub! Was impressed with her attitude!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Couldn’t take our dog to walk on beach next to campground!! Manchester Beach is huge, lots of parking, nobody there. Instead we had to drive 7 miles S to Schooner Beach (a lot of people and inadequate shoulder parking). Were not given the dog friendly beach list when we checked in even though we were charged $3 for dog. Clean park, lots of nice trees, shower far from tub

We stayed 1 night. We made the reservation and paid in full online months ago. At check in we were charged an additional $13.64. The clerk said it was a fire protection fee. During our discussion about the fee she told me I could cancel the reservation and get a refund. I did not want to drive further that day and search for another campground. The campground is old and worn.

Office and store were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The park needs some TLC including asphalt repairs and vegetation trimming. WiFi was good and appreciated.

The whole place is not kept up. Pool opens at 8 but then the cleaning guys comes to clean it 930-10 ads a lot of chemicals and says it’s ok 5 minutes later I don’t feel that’s safe. The splash pad has not worked correctly in 5 years. Seems to be no rules or manager tents are set up all over the place kids riding motorcycles in the park,people at the pool playing load music and with glass bot

Very nice campground! Noticed Many people and their children sure enjoying the swimming pool as it was very hot. The golf course looked beautiful! Next door is the Benbow Inn if you would like a nice breakfast or dinner!

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling
