I was at the KOA for a Family gathering. Since I don't have a Motor Home/Trailer I stayed in a small one room triplex which was clean & quiet. Next year I will reserve the same room.

Very nice people. Need some landscape cleanup around office, some of the weeds were taller then me and had been there a long time. Lots of dead grass at sites.

Very nice campground! Lady at the desk, I think her name was Ellen, let us move to a shady spot closer to the pool and hot tub! Was impressed with her attitude!

This KOA is laid out very well. Golf, basketball, pool, water play area, pool table with arcade, and more. I will definitely return, oh, the ladies behind the counter are amazing!!!

Staff were wonderful but the cabin was horrible. We happen to visit a day when the temps hit a high of 104 degrees and the cabin had a small air conditioner which barely worked and all the rooms had screens missing so we could not open the windows. My grand children had what I thought was a lift with two beds and it was a after thought of adding a room which had ceilings of about 3 feet and no ai

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Couldn’t take our dog to walk on beach next to campground!! Manchester Beach is huge, lots of parking, nobody there. Instead we had to drive 7 miles S to Schooner Beach (a lot of people and inadequate shoulder parking). Were not given the dog friendly beach list when we checked in even though we were charged $3 for dog. Clean park, lots of nice trees, shower far from tub

We stayed 1 night. We made the reservation and paid in full online months ago. At check in we were charged an additional $13.64. The clerk said it was a fire protection fee. During our discussion about the fee she told me I could cancel the reservation and get a refund. I did not want to drive further that day and search for another campground. The campground is old and worn.

We stayed in one of the cabins: No back screen door, missing screens on windows, lights not working, front door stuck - to name just a few issues. And there's no 10pm quiet enforcement so the common fire pit folks kept us awake until 1am, literally outside our back door. Based on our wonderful previous KOA experiences, I expected lot more for $350+ a night. Disappointing to say the least.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed in our Benbow KOA stay. The cabin was very run down, ant infestation, duck tape covering some vent on the wall, upon arrival lights didn’t work (they were able to fix this), etc. we ended up moving cabins due to the ants but the pool was green, splash pad not working and you had to ask office staff to turn it on and off for use which is inconvenient, etc.

Nice laundry mat. Warm showers. Great place to stop at before or after camping without hookups or niceties. Refreshed us on our journey.

The staff was wonderful & friendly but the conditions in the cabin we rented were far below expectations at over $300 a night. We rented # 37. The floors were filthy and needed to be mopped. The stove top didn’t work, some of the outlets didn’t work we had to put the coffee pot on the floor to use it, the couch is peeling apart and has been patched several times, and the toaster was missing.

Office and store were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The park needs some TLC including asphalt repairs and vegetation trimming. WiFi was good and appreciated.

The whole place is not kept up. Pool opens at 8 but then the cleaning guys comes to clean it 930-10 ads a lot of chemicals and says it’s ok 5 minutes later I don’t feel that’s safe. The splash pad has not worked correctly in 5 years. Seems to be no rules or manager tents are set up all over the place kids riding motorcycles in the park,people at the pool playing load music and with glass bot

Very nice campground! Noticed Many people and their children sure enjoying the swimming pool as it was very hot. The golf course looked beautiful! Next door is the Benbow Inn if you would like a nice breakfast or dinner!

Lots of bats in cabin. Some items need an update. No bowls for mixing or salads. No bakeware. The ac could not keep up with the heat. Cost of halls were outrageous. Lights were not functioning.

The staff were friendly and the site was nice. It was very difficult to open the cabin front door using the provided keys. The biggest issue we had was ants. There were several in the cabin we stayed in, especially in the kitchen. We had to be super diligent about cleaning up every crumb, which is difficult with young children, and annoying while ok vacation. We were unable to use the main counter

Staff helpful and friendly. But campgrounds not well kept. Many areas were in need of repair. The garbage dumpster over flowed at times with no room for additional garbage. Poison oak grew near activity areas, raising health concerns. It was nice to have a 9-hole golf course, but the fairways and greens were in dissaray with divots in the greens made it hard to accurately putt.

The young man at the Benbow KOA office is a valuable asset. We’ve checked in twice the past few weeks and he is always very friendly welcoming each guest and ready to accommodate guests in any way he can so we have a great stay. Our neighbors parked their truck in the street and we had to ask them to move before we could pull out. This should’ve been done by park management. They let their dog poop in our area and my husband step in it as we were preparing to leave.They had planned to start a fire just feet from our rig so we had to ask them not light the fire.They moved to a friends site. The staff is top notch! They were so friendly and helpful. You could tell they liked working there. We liked the atmosphere. Would recommend the dog park be expanded just a bit if possible- it’s small for playing ball with larger dogs. Love the later check out and the later hours that are staffed compared to most KOAs :) Thank you!

Everything was great except the width of the roads between rows. Hard for a class A to get by because all the campers with pick ups see to park half way into the street.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling
