Clerks were helpful, friendly, & cheerful. I used the laundry facilities and found them clean and the washers and dryers worked just fine. Loved the asphalt paved streets and paved campsites with concrete patios with tables and chairs. Streets had paved gutters to carry off the rainwater. Nice grassy areas at each site with flowering trees.

I was staying one night but had to turn back due to snow farther south. The manager was very nice and accommodating as I didn't know when I'd be able to head back north due to weather; I'd cancelled my trip south by this point. She gave me an open reservation until I felt comfortable leaving. I'll remember her kindness to me during a very stressful situation for a long time. Thanks much.

Nice campground. The utilities post looked like it needed some help, tv cables all over the place. Considering the location we were very glad to be there.

Very nice clean property ,well stocked groceries and friendly people work there. My wife bought a few treasures there. We will be back again to stay.

We were road weary after a long drive. The office was very welcoming. Campground very quiet and well maintained during the winter weather.

No electricity but paid full rate. Restrooms and showers at far end were locked but we were not told and walked down there at night in the rain.

Glad you were able to stay safe out there. This was the largest winter snow event in our area in 35 years! As discussed on the phone, I have Fully Refunded your stay due to the power being out from the massive storm. Hope you can visit again in better conditions. Be well. -Justin

The heater in cabin (trailer) 401 was so deafening that we were unable to sleep.

Thank you for visiting! Our Cabins use Propane Furnace Heaters, and the sound of the air blowers can be a bit loud, but it gets them nice and toasty in the winter! Hope you can visit again.

Stay was good it would be nice if the hot tub worked. We have stayed here a lot and the hot has been broken for probably a year. We are hoping the splash pad will be fixed this summer it has not been in full operation for 2 plus years and we are always told they are waiting for parts.

Thank you for visiting. We have experienced Drought Conditions the last few years, which caused us to have to close our Splash Pad due to water restrictions. We hope this winter rain lessens that this season! Our Hot Tub unfortunately had the Motor go bad, and will be replaced this week.

It was a great place for us to stay en route to our vacation destination. They were proactive about moving us to a different site, contacting us the day before that they would like to move us to a site closer to the front bathroom since the other bathroom was being worked on. The showers were great - much appreciated!

Location and service are very good. The sites are a little old, unlevel, narrow and typically muddy this time of year. I've stayed there at least 15 times and will return.

Was dark when I arrived, dark when I left l did get to use the showers, they were not up to KOA standards, could use a remodel.

Nice store and friendly greeting. Our site (95) was very difficult to get into even though it is a pull thru. Also it was very un-level and muddy. Ok for a quick overnight.

It was a short overnight stay on the bank of the river. The campground wasn’t busy but the folks there were friendly. The property appeared well cared for and the pool hot tub area was being readied for the new season ahead.

It was a very short stay and I was there only in the dark, but the staff was very friendly and the park was very nice. I will be traveling this corridor quite often in the next year and now have this park as a destination for my return trip from Oregon to Scotts Valley.

Truck broke down day before they charged me because of 48 hour policy half day late so $61 plus new truck. Thanks for nothing.

The camp grounds were decently clean. My wife and I were really unhappy with the fact that the hot tub was unavailable, the main reason why we go to this KOA in the winter. If I would have been told in advance of my arrival that the hot tub was closed, I would have cancelled my stay and went elsewhere. $75 a night is really high for electricity, water, and sewage dump in of itself.

The office and the little store are very nice along with the staff.Cabin #38, horrible.Way overpriced for a dump! Smelled like a dog house, bugs were crawling out of the toilet and ants all over the room. Furniture and cabinets were old and beat up. Silverware was not matching and thrown in a drawer. Same with utensils. Bathroom shower disgusting. Spots all over carpet. I was given another cabin.

Put into a site with low tree branches which would damage roof and slide. Complained. Told to move to ANY site. Moved to another site and hooked up. Went back to office to see if patio site more as happy to pay and told we had to move bc reserved. Never told any were reserved when told to select ANY site. Moved again in the dark. We were exhausted from the drive and the incompetence .

The office staff is friendly and the sites were nice. It is right off Highway101, so it is easy to find and get to. You will hear some traffic noise at night though. No biggie for us. Thanks for a nice stay

Cabin had no heat, sheets didn't fit the bed and the mattress was so old and stained with filth that we left and had to stay somewhere else.

Nice store and game room. Wood fireplace in game room was cozy since our stay was raining and cold. Campground was quiet but maybe due to weather and time of year. Brochure says to separate trash because they recycle but employee told us they really don’t and to put everything in trash. RV pads are extremely narrow so we were constantly walking in mud.

Everything was great except for No Handicap showers. Need to upgrade your showers with seats and removable shower heads.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling
