Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, the campground is very nice and quiet with a nice dog park. They also have a full service cafe and the pizza is great! LOL I actually stayed an extra 5 days to just relax from my journey!

Not enough trees for us to sit outdoors during hot weather. The 5 dollar minimum for purchases is not helpful esp when we don’t carry cash and buy something that cost less than $5. The bathrooms next to office needs improvement.

Friendly & helpful people. Nice quiet area to rest. Enjoyed 1880 town & drove the badlands. Internet worked great! Nice to be able to watch a little TV. Not close to any major stores so bring what you want with you.

This was an overnight stay to our destination. It worked out great as there is an 1880's town within walking distance with an amazing number of artifacts and history. Worth the overnight for that reason. All staff were accommodating and pleasant.

Easy off/on from I90. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant! Would stay again.

The kids really liked the playground and us parents really liked how close it was to the campsites. The food and coffee available was great. It would be nice to be able to get coffee from the office/restaurant before 9am though. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

We always stay here heading west. Right off the freeway, the best staff, so friendly and helpful. Quiet KOA. They also have great food, large menu, place your order and they bring it to your campsite!

came in late and the owner came out and got on his side-by-side and took us to our site which was a lifesaver because it was dark and we had no idea where we were going. That was the best!

Campground hosts were happy and helpful. Entire campground was tidy, cut lawn, nice playground, clean bathrooms. Loved the option to get “delivery” from the cafe! Pizza was delicious!

They are just always the best KOA to stay at. Such happy/ pleasant people work there, and it shows in the campground and all that they do. Love the pizza suppers we have whenever we stay!

Advertised swimming pool. Had no pool. No shade.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The pool was destroyed 3 years ago and was removed from the Belvidere KOA website. We cannot remove previous pictures posted to the internet. Remember to visit the KOA website for the most up-to-date amenity listings. Located in prairie grasslands of South Dakota, limited shade in our area.

Great access on I90 and just far enough so it’s quiet. Owners and hosts were all great and accommodating. Park is nice and easy to maneuver with a big rig. Pizza was delivered hot to our RV from their cafe and it was excellent. Badlands loop not far and worth the trek and drops you at Wall drug. Many thanks to the park and staff for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Belvidere KOA everyone was so friendly. It's very quiet at night with lots of stars and beautiful sunsets. We would definitely stay here again.

The water/electric sites were spacious, flat, with some shade. The back restroom was clean with enough space and hooks to hang your stuff. We would stay here again.

The power connection was terrible at this location, and it caused our breakers to throw. The spots were also on top of each other. It is ok for a one night stay but wouldn't stay any longer. They had a nice fenced in dog area and pool. Shower house was nice along with restrooms.

People who run this place are top notch! Showed up minutes before the office/restaurant closed at 8:00 and they were more than happy to accommodate a late meal, they even took an order from another site who called after hours. Being from the northeast I am accustomed to places that where they would either just not answer the phone or say too bad it's too late. Hospitality is above and beyond.

What a great stay. The owner were so nice and helpful. The camp is well maintained. They even have a little cafe you can order food and they deliver it to your site. Nice touch. The camp store is full of stuff and local eggs and butter. They have a nice lake. Easy in and out. I wish we could have stayed longer GREAT PLACE! I did not use showers or laundry but available 24hrs Well done.

Of the five or so KOA's along western South Dakota along I-90 this is your best choice especially if you are car/tent camping. Many of the campgrounds along I- 90 here are not much more than parking lots for RV's. We found this KOA superior in many ways. This WAS supposed to be our stop for the gateway to the Black Hills. Unfortunately, we ran out of daylight a 100 miles eastward. So we visited in the early morning before anyone was awake. It was mostly empty as we were in the very early part of the season but it was evident we had missed out on a great campground. We visited May 2023.

What a great overnight stay. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful. They also serve dinner delivered to the RV...my wife is STILL raving about the spaghetti. 1880 Old Town in just down the road and well worth a visit.
