Staff was very friendly and showed us to our site and made sure we had everything we needed. Its a simple koa but worked for the one night we needed it. Bathrooms were clean.

This KOA is one of the best I have stayed at! The grounds are immaculate. There is plenty of very friendly and professional staff. They have a great on site kitchen that preps food and delivers right to your RV and the food is very, very good!! This KOA has the most complete camp store I have ever seen! The owners are super nice people as well as the entire staff. The location is great!!

Great place to stop for a few days to explore the Badlands. Friendly staff, convenient camp store, would definitely stay there again.

We almost didn’t even park our camper. On the road to campground, owner installed speed bumps! I asked about them and they explained how it was to keep our families safe. No speed bumps throughout actual park, just road in. After my email, the employees drove by repeatedly in golf carts going more than 5mph and glared at us. The park had nothing of interest to us. Will never return.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You could have easily used the "KOA 1 hour Guarantee" and I would have provided you your money back with no problems. I addressed your concerns about the speed bumps in an email during your stay. The employees never drove past you glaring. They were doing escorts and food delivery. Happy camping!

I love this park. Nice cement pads to park on. Quiet, good internet and streaming was good. Very clean and we will definitely be back next time around. The offer of food was awesome and tasty, Service was excellent.

The office staff was courteous and professional. The grounds were very neatly kept and clean. This KOA had at least a dozen other campers amongst the spaces we traveled through to get to our site at the very end. It was as advertised for a deluxe pull through site. Two complaints, 1. staff mow early, and something ricocheted off our rig, it sounded horrible from inside. 2. The FLIES! They BITE!

Great overnight stay on our trip home from the FMCA rally in Gillette. App showed no sites for my 36’ MH with toad, but when I called the office, Hugh got us right in for a pull-thru with water and electric. Met the owners, who live onsite, and they even opened the kitchen and office/store after hours for us and a few other groups to get food and essentials. Pizza was fresh made and delicious.

Very easy in and out in a big rig. Clean and quiet place to rest along our trip. We enjoyed touring the 1880 Town just a short walk from the campground.

We came in late and spent 20 minutes trying to find the site till I just found an open pull through and parked. The next day I found the site and would have had a hard time in the daytime parking the unit there with the large rig.

Clean, friendly, efficient! What more can one ask for on a one night stay? They also have cooked food available, you order & they deliver it to your campsite!!

Just need to fix the pool, maybe add some more amenities because there is nothing out there in this area. Good place to stop, friendly people.

Thank you for staying with us. The pool is on the list of upgrades we want to do. We cannot find an installer for this project. I have not given up looking. Hopefully we can get a pool soon for everyone to enjoy.

We just overnighted during a trip and the staff was extremely helpful. We used the Landry facility which was nice. We loved being able to order our meal from the grill. I would give it a higher rating if it had a pool or a swim beach. It was very hot and that would have been great. Close to Badlands.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the fresh salads they brought right to our RV. The restrooms were very good. Was conveniently located off I90.

This was a very clean, quiet, well managed Campground. Sites are well spaced, not on top of each other. The folks in the office were very friendly and helpful. There's an on site Cafe that has Pizza and salads and lots of other items. The Pizza was AMAZING. You call your order in and they deliver it to your site! Wonderful, relaxing place to stay with really nice people running it.

Nice quiet, shady, grassy site with bonfire pit and picnic table. Two options for clean showers/bathrooms nearby. Very friendly, available, and accommodating staff. Hot food/snacks delivery to our site was a nice treat! The kids also enjoyed the playground, although this was across the campground from our site. KOA is next to 1880's town, greaat 1st thing to do in the morning! Well stocked store.

Of the five or so KOA's along western South Dakota along I-90 this is your best choice especially if you are car/tent camping. Many of the campgrounds along I- 90 here are not much more than parking lots for RV's. We found this KOA superior in many ways. This WAS supposed to be our stop for the gateway to the Black Hills. Unfortunately, we ran out of daylight a 100 miles eastward. So we visited in the early morning before anyone was awake. It was mostly empty as we were in the very early part of the season but it was evident we had missed out on a great campground. We visited May 2023.

What a great overnight stay. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful. They also serve dinner delivered to the RV...my wife is STILL raving about the spaghetti. 1880 Old Town in just down the road and well worth a visit.
