Campground Reviews

Jul 12, 2013
Gracious friendly hosts managing one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed in. All sheltered camping sites, flowers everywhere, hydrangeas to die for. We will definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to the west coast.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I really DO enjoy growing the vast flowers....for some reason I cannot grow a veggie!

Nice wooded atmosphere-enjoyed the privacy each campsite had.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

That "roughing it" feel of camping in the woods even on the 4th of July weekend. Glad you had some good family fun!

Always clean and quiet . Very well maintained. Thank you!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you....clean and quiet even on the 4th of July. Our campers are awesome!

Awesome place, awesome hosts. Where do I begin? Inexpensive open-air pancake breakfasts, hot showers, swimming pool and hot tub, rec room and mini store . . . yet the tent sites are secluded-feeling and forest-y. Oh, the dog park was a huge treat, too! We loved sitting on the benches and letting our Ruby run, unleashed. There was a choo-choo train ride every evening at 7:00 . . my son's favorite!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed the new off leash dog park! That old choo choo train is a favorite with the kids.

Great week in Southern Oregon!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

A whole week exploring the coast and hanging by the pool. Glad we could make your vacation fun.

Great kampground.

The camp hostess was beyond helpful. She was pleasant, caring, and informative. I really enjoyed my stay!!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There are lots of things to do on the Southern Oregon Coast. Just ask! I can keep your family busy.
Jul 09, 2013
was shocked to see children were an extra charge. KOA is for families right. after the initial shock we really loved our visit. everything, was spotless no trash laying around. even the fire ring was perfect. the swimming pool for the kids and hot tub for adults. the hosts were so friendly. could not find anything to pick at. thank you for the perfect camping experience.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So glad you had a great time with the grandkids. Hope you can bring them again sometime.
Jul 09, 2013
This was by far the best KOA. The owners were great and the area was super cozy and they had a pool which made it even better. Would stay agian for sure!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for staying in one of our kabins....come back. We'll leave the light on.
Jul 09, 2013
Lovely site in pine forest, but: No water for a couple hours and no warning or notice?? Pool & spa were very crowded with rude people. I guess that's not thier fault, but a little supervison would have gone a long way.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Water was shut off when somebody hit a water pipe. Water was off for about 15 minutes (I suppose it could seem like hours when you don't have water) while PVC pipe was repaired. Sorry we couldn't give advance notice that the pipe was going to be run over. Glad you enjoyed your site.

Had a great time. The place was clean the owners were great very helpful and "johnny on the spot" with anything that needed to be done. We found it hard to find using GPS but go with the mile post and how many KOA's are u going to find on 101 around Bandon? Will be back in the future.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So happy we could make your holiday fun! Looking forward to your return.
Jul 08, 2013
Very dark with trees. Good for one night stay

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are deep in the forest, but we do have a few "open" sites if requested. July 4th weekend choice of sites were a bit limited. Sorry!
Jul 07, 2013
The campground sites are more RV type of camping. I think the tent sites can be improved.

Very nice park and more private camping. Each campsite had its space.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed your tent site with electricity. A4 is one of my favorites!

What a wonderful vacation we had! I loved this campground because you got to enjoy the woods and all that comes with camping, but also enjoy the beach only a few minutes away. It was like having two trips in one. Also, the wildlife park is worth every dime and is only 9 miles away. Super cool for adults and small kids (it's very safe). Thank you

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are so happy that you got to enjoy the area. So much to see and do.
Jul 07, 2013
This is a miracle campground. The sewer connection at my full hookup site was up hill of my trailer's outlet. I looked at several other sites and noticed that their sewer hookups were up hill too. I guess at this KOA water(poop)must flow uphill. One shower room for an entire campground. Cold water showers after 9:00 pm. Staff was unfriendly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Actually the drain fields and septic are at the bottom of the park (downhill).
Jul 07, 2013
It is a beautiful area, very peaceful. Lots of things for children. I didn't like that there is only one bathroom building at the front. The camping spots are very small, not much room for even a tent. The only reason I won't return is because the owners are unfriendly, and made me feel like a burdon when I went into the store.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our reservation page states that two tents and two cars requires two sites. When the other family showed to share your site it made things very cramped. We are sorry that we did not have another site to move them to. We are also sorry you did not realize you had to pay for extra people.
Jul 06, 2013
clean, quiet, and friendly. nice pool and playground. couldn't ask for anything more
Jul 06, 2013
We enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July holiday! Thank you for the recommendations on places to visit along the coast!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So happy you were able to extend your vacation to stay thru the 4th of July. Lots of small town celebration!
Jul 06, 2013
It was clean and kept up very nice. Camp host was not very friendly though.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Uh oh...seems during the 4th of July rush we point and direct trying to get everyone situated. Apologies.
Jul 06, 2013
great friendly management, only it WAS the FIRST time ever it was brought to our attention we were a few minutes late in moving out at 11;00am checkout time. Was 11:15, even high dollar hotels allow a little more leeway.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Yikes! Fourth of July holiday weekend with so many folks moving in and out, park was full. Sorry if we offended, we wanted to make sure there was no error in leaving date as the site was re-rented.
Jul 05, 2013
Nice large trees, close to Great seafood 9 miles South in Port Orford

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We DO have some great restaraunts in the area. Glad you enjoyed it!
Jul 05, 2013
Nice campsite plenty of room between neighbors. Staff friendly, and helpful. Advertise free wifi but no signal kept going in and out.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As on our website, HughesNet is the only wifi available in our area and will not support large downloads, movies, games, or music. HughesNet disconnects and then reconnects if broadband is exceeded. Wish we had another provider available.
Jul 05, 2013
The campsites were well screened and very private. The bathrooms were clean and accommodating. The Wifi was poor and we could barely get a signal

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Again, wifi is thru HughesNet and is the only provider available (broadband). Rural camping on the coast.
Jul 04, 2013
Nice wooded site great for tents. Wifi useless not a 4g area either. Would not recommend if internet is important

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Wifi cannot be your main objective here for sure. You can check emails, Facebook, etc. but no movie watching or game playing. Guess you gotta play in the pool instead. Sorry!
Jul 03, 2013
Clean and great host!

The park and the crew were wonderful. The grounds were well taken care of. It was a real camp in the deep woods. The train they have for the kids showed lots of excitement. Bathrooms and laundry were immaculate. Would highly recommend this delightful park to the world.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Woot Woot! The kids (and adults) love that old train. There are pictures of it in the Coos County museum!!
Jul 01, 2013
loved the office cat! and the breakfast pancakes were great!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Mick has been our "Walmart greeter" for 14 years. He does his job well!

Loved the fairyland feel, the staff was awesome, the camp was quiet and very clean!
Jun 29, 2013
We stayed tow nights. The place was clean and the people were friendly, However the spaces were very tight getting in and out. The pool and spa were clean and the spa was hot. The cable was mostly on, but would go off and on several times a night. There were a lot of trees, so it was impossible for a dish or directv service. the play ground was one of the best I have ever seen and very clean.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Please be sure to let us know if there are cable problems. With so many hooking up and unhooking, sometimes the connection wears out. Glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise.
Jun 29, 2013
It was wonderful we even had pancake breakfast before we left. The grounds were so beautiful. Flowers everywhere. I would stay there again but hope I could spend more time there.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I have been cooking pancakes everyday Father's Day thru Labor Day for 25 years! Blackberries or strawberries with whipped cream are the topper.

Everything was really great, with one small exception. A little gravel to level out sites side to side is needed. We had a little leak around slide-out seal during the rain. Not a big deal, but might be worth looking at.
Jun 21, 2013
This place was perfect. The cozy campground made it feel like we were camping out on our own.
