Campground Reviews

Aug 05, 2013
Campground is 5 star great! The hosts are 1 star grumpy. I think they need a vacation.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry we appeared grumpy. Friday night trying to check in weekend campers, trying to hurry to get everybody settled, gets a bit hectic. Sorry you felt we were crabby.

This is my favorite KOA. Staff is friendly, everything clean and love the new dog area (K9 Park). The sites are well maintained. This will be a yearly trip.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So happy you and pup enjoyed the new dog park. Come back and check out the new RV patio sites!

Glad you enjoyed tenting in the forest. Come on back!

Owners were fantastic and the facilities were spotless. Owners REALLY enjoyed making the stay great for everyone there.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We DO try to be helpful to all of our campers and give them a clean and enjoyable stay.

A gem of a campground. Nice sized sites and well kept.

Our campers are what makes it GREAT!

Very friendly service, clean cabin and restrooms.

Excellent facilities in the centre of the site, and in the cabin itself. Well situated for a lot of fantastic scenery and beaches.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed your little cabin in the forest.

Great place to stay. Tent sites are well separated and have foliage in between. Sites are level and staff was very nice. We will return in the future.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So happy you enjoyed your stay. Over 30 tent sites hidden in the trees for "tent heaven". :)

Quiet, clean and easy check in. Make sure you bring your own firewood though, a large bag of kindling was only available, but then again it was better than nothing on such short notice.

très beau site sous les arbres. piscine agréable et bon accueil. Il faudrait niveler les terrains qui sont très difficiles à mettre au niveau. Merci

Two families, Three nights. our spot was narrow, not much room for hanging out, but our friends had the perfect site and a place for all of us to sit outside (9 people) and not bother anyone else! kids loved the pool. All sites with trees and shade, and protection from the wind, thankfully!

Luxury camping for me! First time at a KOA, and was welcomed by very friendly, courteous Hosts! I was placed in a perfect tent spot for me since I was alone with my dog, and felt safe and comfortable. Had the best nights sleep in a long while! Quiet hours observed, very clean, lush and beautiful! Coming back with my spouse in the off-season! Reservations were super easy online!

Of all of the many RV parks we have stayed this summer, this is the most beautiful, peaceful, and serene. We would love to come back here and just relax for a few days.

we love staying at the Bandon/Port Orford KOA! One of our favorite places to go camping.

The pancake breakfast was excellent. The site we had was private and the campground was very quiet which we very much appreciate.
Jul 29, 2013
Friendly helpful staff, clean and well kept grounds and facilities. Close to beaches, rivers and fun things to do. Pancakes are delicious. They have a pool table, pool, hot tub, ice cream social, washers and dryers, playground, special pet walking area...great place.

No satellite reception in anywhere, too many trees -- not full hookup as expected -- too isolated and too many trees

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Site E06 is actually a 50 amp full hook up pull thru site, so we are confused about part of this comment. We do have 11 channels of television (but you have to connect to the post as with cable to receive it). Sorry you didn't ask for help if unsure. :(

The hosts were very friendly but the mattress on the bed sunk down to the middle and made for a very uncomfortable night.
Jul 27, 2013
Very nice campground. Bathrooms were clean. Pool was great. Sites were very nice and lots of trees and shade.
Jul 27, 2013
have stayed here in the past and had a great spot. This time the sites were very unlevel and we worked for about 1+ hours trying to get level and nec=ver did succeed. Our neighbors had the same experience.
Jul 27, 2013
The hosts where great. We had a nice stay although it is always cold there in the woods,LOL even in mid July, we had to sleep in our joggers.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed your stay - and got out of the heat at home for a few days.
Jul 26, 2013
Had a great time. Nice, clean and friendly
Jul 26, 2013
friendly helpful owners - clean camp ground/bathrooms
Jul 25, 2013
Stayed here several times and will continue to do so! Always a great time!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you could spend three days on the coast (escape the heat)!
Jul 24, 2013
lovely campground and nice people, BUT, our campsite was very small - no outside living space and road was very dusty when people drove past.
Jul 24, 2013
The lady that worked the desk, cleaned the camp, and made the pancakes is a wonderful Hostess!!!! We also enjoyed the camp sites, so lush and green. The hot tub and pool were a delight. The showers were very clean and had extra touches like rugs.
Jul 24, 2013
Very clean and well maintained. Beautiful campsite and area!!
Jul 24, 2013
Very friendly and helpful staff, really good pancakes!
Jul 24, 2013
Friendly staff, but the wifi was very poor.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As stated before and on our website....HughesNet is a shared broadband system. It is the only provider available in the area. It works for checking emails, Facebook, etc. It will not support movies, music, games, or large downloads. Sorry! But glad you liked the cabin and facilities. :)
Jul 23, 2013
We stayed only one night in a Kabin, it was a stopping point in our way home from California. The kabin was super clean, the washrooms were great and they also were having a pancake breakfast in the morning, we will definitely be back! Thanks!
Jul 23, 2013
just ok

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry we missed the mark on your stay. We moved you to an RV site (as requested) but only charged you the tent site rate, but was also not acceptable. Always remember: KOA guarantee of full refund within one hour if not happy.
Jul 22, 2013
This campground was great! Everything seemed really well maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wish the pool was open before 9 a.m. and, this didn't affect me personally, but I wish it was a little more dog friendly. Those are just wants though. I highly recommend this camp ground if you're staying in the area!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do have a new off leash dog park (but pets are not allowed at the kabin sites - sorry!)

Very nice hosts and campground! We will be back!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It makes it all worthwhile to have happy campers!
Jul 20, 2013
Beautiful forested grounds. Quiet. Missed pancake breakfast, but heard from fellow campers that it was great. Friendly family business. Cable TV of poor reception quality. Internet extremely slow...almost useless. Would recommend more on-site activities as tourist destinations are not super close.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Please let us know if you are having television issues. With numerous folks hooking up and unhooking their cables, wires get pulled, cables crinked. Thanks!

We stay twice a year or more at this KOA primarily because the hosts are so very cordial and helpful in every way. This last trip they even loaned us a step stool as we forgot our own. They are a real asset to KOA.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

After coming so many years, some campers become "family".
Jul 17, 2013
What a gem! We loved this campground. So beautiful. It's carved out of the forest and the owners keep the place impeccable. There are flowers everywhere. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are free and hot. There is a pancake breakfast every morning for a small fee (proceeds go to charity), a train Ride for the kids, pool and hot tub. The owners are friendly and helpful. Truly a great stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It's a long trip back from your country, but hope you can return some day.
Jul 17, 2013
Easy to find, however not really close to anything. Bathrooms were great, nice and clean. Cabins spaced out well but a little on the shady side.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are easy to find, Highway 101 halfway between two towns (3 miles to nearest market, 10 miles to nearest town). Within 10 miles of us are six beaches, Cape Blanco lighthouse, Hughes House, Lifeboat Station/museum, fish hatchery, Floras Lake (windsurfing/kayaking/fishing)..We can keep you busy!
Jul 16, 2013
This wooded campground was the perfect place to stay while we volunteered at a golf tournament at Bandon Resort. It IS about 30 miles up to the resort, but was head and shoulders above all other RV parks in the area. The woods mean no satellite TV and the cable is very basic, but we weren't there to watch TV. Claudia would not have been nicer and more helpful during our stay. Thanks again.
