The campground was so beautiful and clean. The owners were very friendly We would not hesitate to send family and friends there!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hope the family and friends can all come together! We love hosting family reunions. :)

We appreciated the map of the local areas they had developed for their guests. The camp is well situated to take advantage of the local coastal sights. A very clean camp with plenty of shade provided by the trees.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you got my hand drawn map of things to do in the area. The southern Oregon coast IS the State's best kept secret!

One of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at. There aws something for everyone. The spots were level, roomy, treed and private. e all loved it. Thanks Bandon. We hope to be back !

this place is Awesome! CLEAN!!!! the showers everything! Closest place to eat is Pt Orford so get something there and take with you to the camp site and enjoy the trees and great park setting. The little train rides are cute for the kids. Would definately stay here again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Lots of good eats in Bandon or Port Orford. Glad the kids enjoyed the train ride.

We had a great time! The pool, the play ground, and the train were all fast favorites for the kids! The store was quite handy when there were random little things that we forgot. The man running it all was a lot of help! We would definitely say our first stay at a KOA was a success!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Remember: KOA all the way!! lol

My wife and spent a month traveling through California and Oregon and our stay at the Bandon/Port Orford campground was the best. The owner and staff of the campground was extremely accommodating and hospitable. I will recommend this campground to all my friends and family. I can not wait to go back and spend more time at the Bandon/Port Orford KOA. Rob and Irma Brooker Indio, California

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you so much for your comments! :)

Our favorite place to stay!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You guys are becoming our favorite repeats!

Great camp spot. It is clear that the owners are onsite managers who are a bit staunch. Very secure. Very clean facilities. Did not like that the bathrooms/showers were closed for 2 hours (I think) for cleaning. Great game room. Our kids loved the train and the playground. Wi-fi wasn't good at all. Of the 3 KOAs that we stayed no one had good wifi.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry about the confusion on the restroom cleaning: the bathrooms are never "closed" just hours posted of when we clean. The showers DO close during those hours for about 30 minutes while we totally disinfect.

Very clean campground. The trees and plants make you feel you are out in the woods. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you will be returning!

Large spacious site among towering trees. Quiet. A very nice place to get away

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It is a great place to "get away"!

My grandchild thought the train ride was wonderful and this is her first foray into the redwoods which was the main focus of our journey--but , of course , it gave us adults a good chance to enjoy too. KOA is cheaper than buying an RV, more comfortable than living in a tent and more convenient in every waythan a plain campground--thank you..i'll be back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Wow! Seems like this entire trip was a memory maker. Makes us smile!

We loved the woodsey park. The clean pool & hot tub. Pancake breakfast and friendly staff

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Did you have plain pancakes or pancakes with blackberries and whipped cream? That is MY favorite!

Remove wi fi or instruct the host on how to log on.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do our best to help folks but we are not computer gurus. Each piece of equipment is different and the Smart phones have us out smarted. Sorry!

A great park; loved the big trees (and no trains). Wi-Fi very slow and unreliable.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Well....technically we DO have our little train in the evening hours. lol

There was an additional charge for children that was not indicated when I made the online reservation despite the fact that I indicated the number of children.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We pulled a copy of your confirmation. You listed 2 children under 1 year old, which your children were not. Some parks charge more to include two adults and two kids, we feel that those without children should not have to pay for kids they don't have. We have a base rate for 2 people, kids $3 each.

Beautiful park! Quiet nights, and great pool and hot tub!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

On those quiet evenings you can hear the surf even though it is five miles away!
Aug 18, 2013
Very pretty camp, we really enjoyed our stay.

I was just passing through. Seemed nice enough, lots of family things to do. Swimming, the train shuttle for the kids, pancake breakfast. Not enough space to walk my dog though, highway too close.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Dog park?? Highway is by the entrance, you were camped two sites from the off leash park.

Such attitude at this KOA! Also at this and other KOAs, pets are not allowed in the office building, but the owners/managers allow theirs in the officees. A bit of hypocricy...?

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry but our five pound yorkie that sleeps in a file drawer behind the desk (inaccessible) is different than your 80 pound dog in a crowded store with adults and kids trying to register. We do have areas where your pet is welcome (our off leash dog park being one of them).

Another wonderful stay!! Thank you!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Windsurfers paradise!
Aug 16, 2013

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It is a bit of paradise on the coast.

This is such a wonderful place. We enjoyed it so much we went to Newport for one night and decided to come back to this KOA to stay 2 more nights. The host is very nice and friendly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We were happy to welcome you back. Hope you can return again some day.
Aug 16, 2013
If you're going to advertise that you have wi-fi, be sure that it actually works.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Actually we do state on our web that wifi is limited and will not handle movie, video, music, games, or large downloads. It is shared broadband so the system is slow in the evening when all the kids are engaged. Sorry!
Aug 15, 2013
very nice attendants, clean camp site, lots of trees, overall a very good stay
Aug 15, 2013
Every thing was great. Host was very nice. Park is great. easy pill thrus. very shaded in all sites. WiFi not very good at all. But great place

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Working on Verizon (I might have to dig the trench three miles from Langlois by hand myself!)
Aug 15, 2013
we had a nice stay. loved the train every evening. we'll come again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Pictures of that train are posted in the Coos County museum. It has been giving kids (and adults) joy for many, many years.

Nice campground, a very nice staff & clean bathrooms
Aug 14, 2013
Great place, great people. They even were able to put our friends in the site next to us. Thank you.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Camping with friends and family makes lifetime memories.
Aug 14, 2013
Mainly like the location of the RV slots. Along with privacy, RVers have the opportunity of camping in the woods versus out in open. Overall, very cozy.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It is definately not the "parking lot" RV park. Glad you enjoyed your stay.
Aug 14, 2013
Rv spots are very tight. Poison oak present everyhere. Park is beautiful and very clean. Staff was polite. We would stay again if we could find a more accommodating rv spot.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We usually can change sites in our water and electric sites, please ask. Poison oak? Nope, it's "salal"....

Beautiful, well-kept campground. The shadiest campground we have ever stayed in.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It helps to make that special atmosphere.
Aug 13, 2013
This was one of the nicest KOAs I've seen. Each space was separated out well with trees & bushes. Clean and quiet with lots of family activities available.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hope you get a chance to "rough it" again in a kabin.
Aug 12, 2013
This is a great campground with woodsy atmosphere and a train that runs every night. It really felt like we were in the woods; queit, lots of trees...

We had a great stay, the boys loved the train ride in the evening. The parks location to some great attractions is what made us stay there, we would stay again if we get back in the area.
