Everyone was very nice and bathrooms were very clean. Location is great for an adventure in Badlands NP and is not too difficult to find. We couldn’t cook dinner at our campsite with all the rain, so the on-site food was great! I would definitely stay again.

An amazing stay close to the national park. Super clean rest rooms and showers. Would definitely come back again. KOA doesn't disappoint us...always the best.

Started in a tent site but with inclement weather they suggested and we moved to Tent City with shelter. Place was excellent restrooms clean. Great experience!! Cabins looked awesome

Tons of staying options, lots of shade. Very accommodating. They provide a breakfast time slot and a dinner time slot. They have mini golf on the grounds.

We had a lovely stay except for the fact that the firewood we purchased at the store was not split fully and extremely green. Getting a fire started was almost impossible.

Well maintained place. The only minus- only two showers for the camping ground. A lot of biting flies.

The entire staff was helpful and kind, the KOA was clean and easy to navigate, they had a variety of activities for kids, and it was incredibly easy to hop over to the Badlands NP.

We enjoyed our time and the location was great BUT 1-Extremely LOUD charter bus load of high schoolers who kept us up all night with their yelling and cursing well past 10pm. I called the after hours number to have it addressed but no one answered the number the 2 times I called. -Odor of rotting fish that was coming from the tree at our site -FLIES Never dealt with so many my whole life

This was my first KOA. The staff was great, restrooms, showers and laundry were clean (except exhaust and room fans), wifi was excellent. The dog park was exceptional, with an elevated tub to cool off my pup! Besides the over-100° daytime temperatures, we had way too many flies, mosquitoes, and toads. My dog mouthed a toad a few times a day (even on leash), which I treated each time.

VERY quiet. Nice area. Misquotes and biting flies were HORRIBLE. Not exactly the camps fault as the white river was right there and apparently it had rained quite a bit so lots of standing water for breeding ground. They did fog the camp to help keep the numbers down. Wish they would do that at a different time as 6 in the morning was a bad time if you are tenting.

Friendly staff could use a few more bathrooms and the portable toilets wouldn’t be bad if they were cleaned and had some kind of air freshener

We travel across the country often and everyone in our party agreed that it was the worse experience that we have ever had. They had a greyhound bus full of young adults that were out of control. They were in our campsite running between the picnic table and our tent, bumping into the tent, and that went on until late into the night. They were in the bathrooms looking under the stalls and more.

We apologize, and the group has been banned from this park. Maybe next time something is not as you would like, say something a the time so we have a chance to fix the issue.

We stayed in a deluxe tent site but it was infested with black flies! It was not worth the sink. Pool was nice but I don't think the filter was working properly. Also, they need more shade at the pool for ppl not going in. Bathrooms were immaculate. Laundry was nice and new and open 24/7. Staff was very friendly.

The staff was wonderful and the best part. However the bugs were really bad and the basketball hoop is missing a bolt and is uneven. I still had a good time not just not a great time

Stay was great! Convenient location to the park and LOVE the free pancakes. Only downside are the flies and mosquitoes (I think that portion of South Dakota breeds them).

Nice and proper campground with very good services & very nice people! The only negative aspect are the many flies that make a nice camping evening unbearable.

The location was very convenient for visiting Badlands National Park, and the amenities were very nice. We tent camped and mosquitoes/flies were a bit of a challenge, but otherwise the grounds seemed well-maintained.

Bad mosquito there and tent near to river are bad idea. My daughter got bad red bumps on her head and we tried so many different sprays to stop mosquitoes nothing works. Not going to stay there again.

The check in after hours was super simple and everyone was very friendly. The campground had a lot to offer while still maintaining privacy between campers. It was a great stay.

It was our first time here in the White River KOA. Very friendly staff, clean restrooms, and well kept campsites. Plenty of shade in our tent camp sight. The location is near the Badlands, so the views are great. I highly recommend staying here. We will be returning every summer.

We've always stop at the badkands koa, even off the beaten path the campgrount , staff and facilties are always well kept, friendly and very accommodating. Plus no interstate traffic niose. The option of the food and other items is a great option for when out for the day and tired its nice to be able to have a hot meal of breakfast availble. We travel personally and with scouts we always stop.

Fly and mosquito infested. Broken showers. Dirty bathrooms. Loud. No severe weather plan. More concerned about possessions versus people.

We are sorry you missed the emergency weather text and where to proceed if you felt threatened. It is difficult when things all of a sudden break, we are not close to hardware stores that are open late at night. Mother nature has been very unkind to us this year!

Could use a good cleaning. Suggestion, have a small mop in bathrooms. Staff was nice, though some incompetent, thank goodness one knew what to do. Won't be back.

The facility, cleanliness, food stand, and excellent staff made this a very enjoyable stay. However, I am concerned about the accuracy of the online booking site. When booking I had only 1 option for my tent trailer, which turned out to be an expensive family tent site. Six cheaper sites were not used during my stay, and I paid too much due to this website error!

Personnel is extra and tent's sector is very nice but needs extra toilets.

This was my first time staying at a KOA and I loved it! The pool, restaurant, games including mini golf were great additions to our experience that I hadn't had before. We also left a night early due to the pending weather and were given a refund of the night's stay which was great. I would definitely stay at KOA's in the future.

I absolutely loved this nice little park. We didn't use the amenities because we came to visit the Badlands. We spent several days sightseeing the park and it was very much worth the time and money to stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly and welcoming! Grant it, I'm writing this review a year later, but it's still fresh in my memory! Thank you for such a wonderful site and a great vacation spot!

Wow! We arrived late and so happy to find a beautiful site. Very clean, quiet campground. Highly recommend if visiting the Badlands area. We spent 3 days and it was a great experience. Highly recommend the breakfast pancakes!

3.5 stars - CABIN A/C UNIT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. It was a very hot outside (99) but for the price of cabins, the property owner(s) needs to invest in adequate units that are larger and work for weather extremes or store industrial fans for open window air movement. Getting up every two hours, to kick start an a/c unit, after being on the road for twelve hours, is NOT fun. :( The employees/management are very nice and the property is kept very clean. Bath-house (near) cabins was sparkling clean, which is always a big plus.
