The Bob Jones Trail is located right outside the entrance to the campground. The trail is a well-paved county-maintained bike trail. It is great for all levels of hiking and biking. Dogs are welcome on the trail. The trail starts on Ontario road and ends at the beach in Avila and is less than a 3 mile ride.

Saturday Mornings Farmers Market is located in the park lot at 445 Madonna Road, San Luis Obispo. Every Saturday morning 8am-1030am. Local farmers selling their fresh picked fruit, vegetables and flowers. 805-544-9570
Enjoy a scenic drive to Hearst Castle, located less than an hour's drive on the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. Tours are available or just stop at the visitor's center.
Take a short drive north of the Hearst Castle and view the Elephant Seals.

Pismo to Avila Beach Trolley service operates from 10am-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, starting March 29th through early June when EXPANDED summer service begins. Starting June 5th the trolley will run Thursday to Sunday.
The Trolley will start running on Friday nightsfor Avila Farmer's Market April 4th through September.

The Avila Beach Golf Resort is located in Avila Beach, CA. You can drive a couple miles to the golf course from the campground or take a stroll through the golf course on the Bob Jones Trail.

Experience the wild terrain of the Pismo Dunes and Oceano State Recreation Area. Take a trip about 3 miles south of Pismo Beach off of HWY 1 and check out the dunes. Oceano Dunes is the only state park where vehicles can be driven on the beach. Watch the fun or join in! You can rent a dune buggy or ATV!
The Avila Farmers Market takes place April through September on Fridays, 4pm-8pm.

A gem among the historic Spanish California missions, Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa is a must see for history buffs, family vacationers, and tourists of all kinds. Founded in 1772 by Father Junipero Serra this still active Mission church lies at the center of modern-day downtown San Luis Obispo.

This is the first beach you will find after crossing the bridge out of Avila and into Port San Luis. It has parking along the road and a ramp down to the sand. Dogs allowed off leash (in control) on this beach at anytime.
