Charming lodge, beautiful landscape grounds, amenities galore. Great for whole family. Worth the price.

In a great place to see a lot. Loved it there. Highly recommend it for all the historical and fun things to do.

Everyone was very kind. The amenities were kept very clean and in good condition. Staff was attentive. Free pancakes with children is pretty awesome (though the other breakfast food is overpriced) Overall we were happy with it and will go again!

Such a fun mini vacation, tons of stuff for the kids to do. We all loved it!

Thank you! We had a lovely weekend! Our only complaint was the speed that vehicles passed by on the dirt road.
Jun 13, 2016
This KOA camp has lots of fun things to do. I wish however that a weekly schedule was available so we could plan on our day better.
Jun 13, 2016
We always have a great time!

Cabins need a little maintainence but overall good

This site worked great for four adults, a dog, and a toddler. Lots of great places to play at the campground. The store was great for grabbing a few things we forgot. And it was close to the beach and parks.

This was the second year that my teenage daughter has wanted to spend her birthday weekend here at the Astoria KOA. This year she invited 3 friends and we stayed in one of the cabins. They had a great time, made new friends and want to come back again next year. The amount of security at KOA gave me a ton of confidence that they could hang out with minimal adult supervision and still be safe.
Jun 13, 2016
We loved it! Staff are awesome. We'll be back!

Four all those who didn't know? I made my reservations by phone not knowing that I wasn't able to use my camping points. So when I got to the KOA I ask to use my points. I was told that I couldn't be cause I had already check in. So if you want to use your points make sure you tell first!!!!

We have ben coming here for 3 yrs. great place to take the grandkids!!!

The staff was five star. Wifi was one star. The internet called it a kamping cabin, the staff at check in called it a rustic cabin which is closer to the truth. Klutlers Cove should be called Skeiter Hollow. If I was to visit the area again I would stay in a deluxe cabin which aren't located in Kutlers Cove and just deal with the wifi issues.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the feed back. KOA only allows one type of description. I prefer the rustic tittle because it best describes the level of camping experiences your getting. My best explanation is four walls, beds, heater and a token light bulb. We do offer the top end with full service. Thanks Dale

This was our first stay at a KOA and we were very pleased. We were not traveling with children and had some trepidation initially. We booked a cabin on Kutler's Cove and could not have been happier! It was quiet and relaxing. The bathrooms were always clean and showers very nice.We will be back and now are considering other KOAs for future stays!

Had a great time here, two criticisms and that's it 1. Put plungers in the bathroom stalls. Saturday morning was pretty gross in there 2. Have a day pass for kids activities, by noon I felt like I was getting nickle and dimed to death

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Love the comment about Plungers. I would if the kids wouldn't use them to play with. I'm sure your not surprised but "kids do the darndest things" The only thing we charge for are thing where you get a major item, Tye Dye, Stuff-a-bear, bike rentals, all other activities are free. Dale

The staff here are always so kind and willing to help. My grandkids love this place so many things to do.

While the campground was well maintained and had everything to offer, there was no security after 10pm. Heavy Partying with no one to quiet them down so no sleep till 2. Walked the entire grnds after 12pm to find security, no one was there.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry about the events. Our security was on all night. We had the group turn their radio off and the family hug around the camp fire until midnight. There was no alcohol. If you choose to return there is a phone number on the site map you were given for security and me. Dale

There were so many mosquitoes that it was unpleasant to be outside for too long. That alone may prevent us from staying here again. The bed in the cabin was not comfortable, but it is honestly what I expected it to be. Not sure it was worth the price per night. A lot of activities for the kids and "free" pancake breakfast was nice, though the $10/night resort fee made it technically not free.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our sign says Mosquitoes Crossing. The State Park has it worse than us. Sorry but it has been a banner year for those pesty guys. The resort fee allows the whole family to participate in activities as well at no additional costs.

Love this place!

We've never stayed at this Koa before and I've started calling it "camping carnival!" Our kids were constantly entertained, which made our stay so pleasant. The staff was friendly and happy as well. There was always something fun to do. We'll be back!

I've been staying here for years on Memorial Day weekend. This last weekend I had many issues with my deluxe lodge. Thermostat broken, microwave panel broken, futon broken. They came and fixed all these things but I shouldn't have to call multiple times to get heat fixed so it's not 90 degrees in my cabin. They didn't compensate at all on what I paid to stay in cabin for 4 nights. Not cool at all.
May 31, 2016
The camp ground at Warrenton has become to big and expensive. With all the money the KOA is making, you have changed your pancakes to the worse and your entertainment has totally sucked.
May 31, 2016
This camper comment has been removed by KOA due to profanity.

The staff is incredible! We will be back next year for sure!
May 31, 2016
This was a great KOA. The grounds were wonderful, the staff was outstanding. The only downfall for our family was the restrooms. The could be cleaner and updated. They were kinda gross. We are looking forward to another trip down to Astoria soon.
May 31, 2016
The staff was very friendly, the grounds very clean. Loved all the activities for the kids. The only issue was in the 2 room cabin. The back room had a heater and the front did not and there was a gap in the door. It was cold.
May 31, 2016
Had a fabulous time. Even with a full campground everything ran very smoothly, we were impressed with the amount of staff.
May 31, 2016
Love this campground and we had a lot of fun. Two things I would like to see fixed would be the pool temperature and our cabins door would not open because it was stuck on the ground. We had to pull or push it a ton. Other then that everything was great!
May 31, 2016
We love this KOA and come here at least twice a year.
May 31, 2016
Overall the stay was fine. My kids loved it. My only issue was w/ the lack of internet. Dale was awesome in his trying to help me connect, but as someone who relys on wifi when I travel for my career, it's frustrating to not be able to connect. I never was able to do my work. 10 hrs to post a text only blog post & I had to leave the campground to check email & post photos to my post. Unnacceptable
May 30, 2016
A bit pricey but it was a lot of fun for the whole family!
May 30, 2016
Great experience and kids has ton of fun
May 27, 2016
the new cement bonfire structures are awful for sitting around the fire and keeping warm. when the fire is up high, all of the heat rises and doesn't warm the bodies sitting around it. The old style on the ground is much better for cool nights.
May 27, 2016
The campground was well kept and clean, but there was graffiti carved into a lot of the wood surfaces in the bathrooms and cabins. The other thing I did not care for was the per person $10.00 resort fee.
May 25, 2016
May 24, 2016
Generally it was a good time with good weather the only thing I had a problem with is the $10 Activities fee per person. The only thing we did was tie die which we had to pay additional for. Not happy with fee for no reason but to squeeze unnecessary money out of campers. Also with the money KOA charges they should provide the shampoo/body wash in their showers like gyms do.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the feed back. The resort fee is $10 per day covering all programs and the all you can eat pancakes. We do provide shampoo and body wash in the showers? sorry Dale
May 24, 2016
I wasn't there long enough to really check it out. The WiFi didn't work & the cabins were difficult to find. The shower was clean and lots of wonderful hot water.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry about the WIFI, Apple products dont like our open access. Dale

Our stay was GREAT WONDERFUL.The staff was very friendly and seen through out the park if needed. The cabin was really nice and had board games and card game for your use in cabin.Plenty to do around the campground.great in door pool.We shall return. Thank you for your commitment to excellence.
May 23, 2016
This is one of the best KOAs in the country. I would highly recommend it to any one at any time.

May 23, 2016
This trip we were only in town one night for a wedding so we didn't have time to take advantage of the many many fun activities this KOA has to offer. We will be coming back to stay with the family another time because I was very impressed with this KOA! We can't wait to come back!
May 22, 2016
We had a wonderful time at this KOA. There was so much to do and see. We will be back
May 22, 2016
Lots of options. Resort geared towards kids not so much camping. Requiring me to take a bag at camp store was frustrating and not necessary.
