Cabin Reviews

Aug 13, 2014
Our family had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool and getting to each have a top bunk in our one-room cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the bunks were surprisingly comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the pool, and the free pancakes in the mornings were a nice touch. We will definitely stay at a KOA again.

We encountered unfriendly staff except for the young man Glenn who cooked pancakes. I was charged an additional $40 in fees for 2 nights due to having an 11 year old and 14 year old and then resort fees. The campground itself is called a resort but is in dire need of some upkeep. I have stayed at a number of Koa's across the US and Canada and this has been the worse one.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry we failed you, we can do better. We are constantly upgrading. We are at the end of the summer season and yes we have wear from high use. If you choose to return you will be able to enjoy a new pool and 5 new attractions. Dale

Nice park - will come back

The cabins were wonderful, the staff was great and the amenities were fabulous for our kiddos. However, my husband is in a wheelchair and it was horrible having to get him across and down the gravel road to the bathrooms. The handicap shower was being used by people (non-handicap) most of the time and then was broken for our final two days. Overall, it was not handicap friendly.

Had a wonderful time... Everyone on the staff are so friendly and there to help! Many activities for all ages... Will be coming back again for sure!

i liked that our cabin was secluded. i cannot believe how crowded it is in the general camping area. i may return in the winter time but not again in the summer. my kids loved all the events and the staff were all very nice.

Been coming for years. Love it. Free breakfast should include coffee. A breakfast isn't breakfast without a drink. Stayed in fancy cabin. Please work on wifi and cell service.

grandma "done with primitive camping" stepped up to upscale camping...KOA Fort Stevens... activities galore, hot showers, clean, and what every grandparent wants---history lesson without the kids realizing (flashlight hide & seek at Battery Russell, Lewis and Clark's Fort, science at the tidepools low tide @ the jetty, and security so tight, kids can bike/roam/make friends alone...no boredom!!!

Rented a cabin and an rv spot. Our stay with you was fun filled, relaxing, enjoyable, and you provided so many activities that we needed additional stay days just to get through them all. Also the staff was friendly and ready to solve any problems they encountered. Thank you for a memorable stay.

So much fun! Like summer camp for the whole family. The girls in the activities building were especially awesome, kind, helpful, and great with the kiddos(Amber was one of them).

Your new cabin was nice, a very unlevel but nice. We left a quilt in the room under the pillows ... if it finds its way home it will be fantastic!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I will check that level? We didn't find the quilt, sorry. Dale

It was our first stay in a KOA. Very nice campground. We will be staying at KOAs again.

This was a perfect getaway with our little ones. Thanks for keeping such a neat and fun filled campground. We will definitely be back!!!

We had a great time. Our kids had so much fun. I loved being able to call for a mocha in the morning. We are already planning our next trip.

Booked youth group area for BSA troop of 33 people. Due to Airstream group, we were upgraded to cabins, which were really nice since the weather was misty. Boys enjoyed the pancake breakfast. Staff friendly. Facility clean. We have stayed in KOAs on occasion, and this location was superior. Only problem was two broken dryers that slowed down our laundry.

The staff for kids activities, especially the women who helped with tie-dye, were fantastic. The indoor big foot rec center was great and the indoor pool. The miniature golf course is in need of serious repair, it appears to have been neglected for some time. The kamping kabin was clean on arrival. Kids love the jumping pillow and other kid activities. Free pancake breakfast was good.
Aug 09, 2014
Great pool. Friendly staff. Kabins could use mini-fridges and all showers should have shampoo, conditioner & shower gel dispensers.

You have kids and a few days at hand with camping in mind. This Is the place to be. Most of the staff is friendly. Tons of activities to do. Seaside is a big plus. For last minute purchases Costco and Fred Meyer is few miles away. Been here will be here again for sure.

The general manager was rude and seemed like a bully. The staff were all very nice but definently did not like him either. The WiFi did not work. The manager Dale said there were too many people and basically "your camping" so get over it. We were not given clean towels or told how to get them. My son is autistic and needs WiFi to communicate using his software.

Sometimes there's nothing I can say other than I'm sorry. Dale

There were so many fun activities to do. Thank you for the lanterns. We lit them for my daughter in law's birthday! My kids and grand kids had a blast! The staff was so friendly, and so accommodating, and they obviously like their job. We will be back, again:)
Aug 07, 2014
The cabin we stayed in was clean, the grounds were well taken care of. There seemed to be much to do and we enjoyed our pancakes. We found that the bathrooms got nasty during the evening rush and weren't cleaned well until after the morning rush.
Aug 07, 2014
Amazing stay, cabins were clean & extremely family friendly. Loved how safe & fun the campgrounds were. Very quiet at night.Definitely resort atmosphere. Pool/hot tub nive especially after 9:00pm (adults only). Free pancake breakfast a deal plus, extras (eggs, bacon, coffee) very reasonable.Traveled with husband & 19 yr old daughter, we truly enjoyed our stay, will be returning.
Aug 07, 2014
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Aug 06, 2014
The cabin was great! The bathrooms were fantastic. The view was wonderful. The only thing I would like to see different is that there needed to be more accessible power outlets in the area. There was one in the main room - behind the fridge and one in the second room and none in the bathrooms! Thanks

We tried the rustic cabins for the first time and it was perfect for our family of 5. Clean, comfortable, and close to everything. Our Kids loved the bouncy pillow, mini golf, and bike rentals. Free pancakes were great as well, can't wait to come back!
Aug 06, 2014
Best KOA along the Oregon Coast! Lots of activities for the whole family. Having a menu for the pancake bar at check-in would be nice, showing selections & prices. Would prefer more affordable pricing for Kabins. Pool was cold. Overall stay was very good!

We had some special circumstances and the manager noticed those needs were not being met. As he was driving by he asked us a few questions and realized that our needs were not being met to what they could offer. SO he immediately made our stay more pleasant then we though possible. We are ever so grateful and had a wonderful time.

Wonderful facility and helpful, friendly workers. So much for kids to do! We were with 4 family groups and it was a perfect venue. Loved our first stay at a KOA.
Aug 04, 2014
Had a wonderful time as always!
Aug 04, 2014
Our family met several other families and had a great weekend. There are so many activities for families to enjoy at this KOA. My only comment is that a few activities, such as the miniature golf, are a bit run down.
Aug 04, 2014
We had a good time. We did have some cabin reservation issues that were never actually resolved but the owner of this KOA did get involved at the very end and was very nice. We just wish we had been able to talk with him on the first day as it may have solved our issue early on. But I would stay here again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad I could help. Dale

Check in was not helpful. I had to ask lots of questions to find out about amenities. The info wasn't freely given. Firewood was not delivered, even after a phone call. Had to go in person to the office to ask the next morning and then I was told that info given to me at check in was wrong about how much wood I should have received. Cot was broken in cabin.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So sorry we failed you! We can do better. Dale

Great campground. Lots to do for kids, fairly clean, staff was helpful and with great attitude. The sites are a bit too close to each other. Quite hours at 10 PM are non existent.

I had some problems with my RV and Kathy and Dylan were most helpful. My wife and I were most grateful.

Love this campground and all the activities and proximity to the beautiful Oregon coast and towns nearby. So many things for children to do.
