Cabin Reviews

A great place for a camping, the kids love it!!!
Aug 18, 2014
This KOA has always been my favorite one. You can tell the owners put a lot if time, effort and money back into this campground. I come here every year and continue to see more and more great things done. I can't wait until my grandbaby is a bit older so I can start bringing her with me. She's never going to want to leave that place!!! I look forward to going back next summer and many more summers

We had a fantastic time staying at this KOA! My husband and I and 2 kids (7 & 2) loved the deluxe cabin, jumping pillow, free pancakes, pool, tie dye tshirts... We will return! Thank you!

The staff were all very helpful.our deluxe cabin was comfortable but seemed a little expensive.Overall we had a very pleasant experience.

We love staying at koa. It was our 3rd year in a row. But this koa needs to clean their restrooms more often. They were extremely dirty. Garbage overflowing. No soap or paper towels often. I am not sure our family will stay there next vacation.

We ha a cabin located next to the activity building so lots of people were constantly walking through our site.

Thank you for a great holiday, we brought a group of disabled adults with us and for some their first holiday. The staff really helped them, and got to know them on first name basis, which meant a lot to them being safe and they had a friends.

This KOA is excellent for families with young children. As adults it gets very crowded in the kitchen facilities and restrooms. It was quiet after 10.00. Our tiny cabin was one of the oldest and that was OK except that one of the mattresses was old and noisy. The newer double mattress cover was much quieter, maybe silicone and comfy. The Wheelhouse restaurant work hard need more staff there.

Was good, would like to see a little bit better maintenance on some of the property. Too large of gaps on the cabin doors. More than an inch gap between door, frame and floor. This could make it very easy for rats and mice to enter cabin, not to mention insects as we had several very large wolf spiders enter our cabin KK17 during the night. Made us quite uncomfortable. Toilets pluged a lot.

Great location. So much for families to do here. First time in a cabin it was great! Lots of history near the KOA to go explore. Will come back again.loved it!!!

4 nites, kids had a lot of fun. great service.
Aug 17, 2014
There are lots of near by attractions that are fun for all ages. And if you don't want to go anywhere...there are loads of things to do in the campground.
Aug 16, 2014
I was expecting it to be more woodsy. It was more like a drive-in parking lot. The kids had a lot to do and the staff, kind. Would have liked a bit more privacy. Also, every day bathrooms cleaned at 7. Bad time since everyone is waking up to pee.

Great place to camp! Great security, friendly staff, clean facilities. The pool room was too stuffy and had an extremely STRONG chlorine smell which made it impossible to enjoy the pool or spa....needs way better ventilation!

Great!! We will defiantly return, I was disappointed that after a community event that campers didn't pick up after themselves, but the staff was out there doing a great job.. I can't wait to go back

We stayed with you July 30th to August 5th. We had 3 cabins and 1 pull thru site. Everything was ready when we arrived. Check in was fantastic. Thanks to ALL staff for a GREAT stay. Will be making reservations soon for next year!

wonderful!

Had a lot of fun with the children and grandchildren. Tie dyed shirts, rode bikes made smores over the fire. Made good memories.

The staff was great, and the camp ground was quite after hours. Otherwise l didn't enjoy the layout of the property. We were in an area that was pretty much a parking lot with out trees and no sense of privacy. It is such a different set up than Fort Stevens right across the street, which I find much more pretty and green. I would not stay here again.

Great activities and amenities for children and families! The cabins are cute and the grounds are pretty well maintained. Love the pancake breakfast. Improvements desperately need to be made in the showers. The floor molding/curtains are falling apart and filthy. The main door slams shut, hydraulic hinges need to be put in. Hot tub needs resurfacing. Bouncing pillow needs to be scrubbed clean

Our family had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool and getting to each have a top bunk in our one-room cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the bunks were surprisingly comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the pool, and the free pancakes in the mornings were a nice touch. We will definitely stay at a KOA again.

We encountered unfriendly staff except for the young man Glenn who cooked pancakes. I was charged an additional $40 in fees for 2 nights due to having an 11 year old and 14 year old and then resort fees. The campground itself is called a resort but is in dire need of some upkeep. I have stayed at a number of Koa's across the US and Canada and this has been the worse one.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry we failed you, we can do better. We are constantly upgrading. We are at the end of the summer season and yes we have wear from high use. If you choose to return you will be able to enjoy a new pool and 5 new attractions. Dale

Nice park - will come back

The cabins were wonderful, the staff was great and the amenities were fabulous for our kiddos. However, my husband is in a wheelchair and it was horrible having to get him across and down the gravel road to the bathrooms. The handicap shower was being used by people (non-handicap) most of the time and then was broken for our final two days. Overall, it was not handicap friendly.

Had a wonderful time... Everyone on the staff are so friendly and there to help! Many activities for all ages... Will be coming back again for sure!

i liked that our cabin was secluded. i cannot believe how crowded it is in the general camping area. i may return in the winter time but not again in the summer. my kids loved all the events and the staff were all very nice.

Been coming for years. Love it. Free breakfast should include coffee. A breakfast isn't breakfast without a drink. Stayed in fancy cabin. Please work on wifi and cell service.

grandma "done with primitive camping" stepped up to upscale camping...KOA Fort Stevens... activities galore, hot showers, clean, and what every grandparent wants---history lesson without the kids realizing (flashlight hide & seek at Battery Russell, Lewis and Clark's Fort, science at the tidepools low tide @ the jetty, and security so tight, kids can bike/roam/make friends alone...no boredom!!!

Rented a cabin and an rv spot. Our stay with you was fun filled, relaxing, enjoyable, and you provided so many activities that we needed additional stay days just to get through them all. Also the staff was friendly and ready to solve any problems they encountered. Thank you for a memorable stay.
Aug 11, 2014
So much fun! Like summer camp for the whole family. The girls in the activities building were especially awesome, kind, helpful, and great with the kiddos(Amber was one of them).
Aug 11, 2014
Your new cabin was nice, a very unlevel but nice. We left a quilt in the room under the pillows ... if it finds its way home it will be fantastic!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I will check that level? We didn't find the quilt, sorry. Dale

It was our first stay in a KOA. Very nice campground. We will be staying at KOAs again.
Aug 10, 2014
This was a perfect getaway with our little ones. Thanks for keeping such a neat and fun filled campground. We will definitely be back!!!

We had a great time. Our kids had so much fun. I loved being able to call for a mocha in the morning. We are already planning our next trip.
Aug 09, 2014
Booked youth group area for BSA troop of 33 people. Due to Airstream group, we were upgraded to cabins, which were really nice since the weather was misty. Boys enjoyed the pancake breakfast. Staff friendly. Facility clean. We have stayed in KOAs on occasion, and this location was superior. Only problem was two broken dryers that slowed down our laundry.

The staff for kids activities, especially the women who helped with tie-dye, were fantastic. The indoor big foot rec center was great and the indoor pool. The miniature golf course is in need of serious repair, it appears to have been neglected for some time. The kamping kabin was clean on arrival. Kids love the jumping pillow and other kid activities. Free pancake breakfast was good.
