We found the staff to be pleasant. We did not understand the reasoning of putting campers next to each other when the park was almost empty. The people that came in right next to us Friday night arrived about 940 PM and made a lot of noise. I'm certain we would not camp there again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry about your exsperiance. your site #362 is right next to the Fun Zone and is a highly reserved site. parents like being close to all the activities to supervise the children. Its like going to the store, no one wants to park out away from the entrance. Thanks Dale

My kids loved this place. Great location and convenient to all the beaches. We can't wait to come back!
Apr 17, 2017
Great location! Lots of fun things to do with the family within the campground. Please it has easy access to the beach!

This is our absolute favorite KOA for so many reasons, great staff, wonderful location, breakfast with a smile, great gift shop, and family oriented. Another great visit!
Apr 16, 2017
We had a great time. Wish the weather had been better but we enjoyed the indoor pool.

Needs some up keep. The office Staff needs to keep up on what works and what doesn't. Half the washers didn't work.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

sorry about the washers, we have all new ones coming in this week. We left the old ones in place to protect the area from kids getting into the utilities behind the washers. Sorry Dale

The park and staff were great. They were willing to help our whenever there was an issue or if we needed anything. Sadly it was raining the whole time so the place was a swamp but other than that the park and staff were great and I enjoyed my little cabin.

noisey put us by the running pump also free pancakes? 30.00 extra charge for our 3 day stay i will ask more ?,s in the future.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the feed back. Yes we don't charge for pancakes and we do aply a $10 per site per day resort fee. Our average customer is famileys of 4 or more and we offer 2hr beach bikes, no charge activities, pancakes, etc. Thanks

Great

Everyone went out of their way to see that were comfortable and happy in our site. If only you could control the weather!
Apr 14, 2017
a few more larger dumpster for garbage around the park would be nice , walked all over looking for a place to put my mh kitchen garbage sack,

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We only have one dumpster on pourpose, no one likes camping next to dumpsters so we offer pick up at your site from 8 AM to 8 PM, you can text our office if you need a quicker respounce for specialty needs. Thanks Dale

Very clean, friendly staff and tons of activities for the family.
Apr 13, 2017
2 room cabin heater barely worked (KK20), and it was very cold. Large gaps under front door added to the heat problem. No place to sit inside cabin, had to buy chairs.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the feed back, I will check on the heater and door. we can do better.
Apr 12, 2017
Needs more bathrooms spread around area, even porta potties would be nice!! We hadonly cold water in showers up by swimming pool!!! Otherwise, it was a fantastic trip, KOA personnel was very helpful!!!
Apr 12, 2017
Enjoyed out stay again with our daughter and two grandkids. Suggest you have a "sidewalk" from the road to the Wheel House (cafeteria).
Apr 12, 2017
Great place to stay, has everything you need, would like Goonie channel back and site 112 needs a light by big Tree roots , so at night people don' t twist there Ankle. Otherewise, Great staff, Great place.

The cabin in which I stayed was very dirty and dusty it has spires on the ceiling and, also had a plastic tarp because the roof had leaks so the noise of the tarp for the rain did not let me sleep, the roads have many holes and dangerous for my car. The bathrooms are dirty and paperless.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I'm sorry about the quailty of your cabin we can do better. The trarps are over the hand split shingles and we are trying to get good weather to replace it. Sorry Dale

The park is nice, but I was surprised to be charged $10 for a resort fee. We were there for one night and the power had gone out. Even with power, I would not expect to pay a resort fee, especially for a one night stay. This is the first time we have ever been charged a resort fee at a KOA (stayed at two other KOAs on the same trip).

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I have refunded your resort fee, our average customer visits us as a resort facility and enjoy all we have to offer at no additional cost. Sorry about the power, the storm we had Friday caused a tree to fall out on the road so we were out for 4 hours. Sorry Dale

Our family loves it here. We always feel very safe and the kids are happy there are so many fun things for them to do. Any season is a good time to come with an indoor and outdoor pool and the BFB with lots of games and craft projects. Recently we adopted a rescue husky and he had fun at the doggie park too! Not our first visit to this KOA and we definitely will be back! Staff is very frien

Despite the very rustic cabin accommodations, this was a great place to stay while visiting the coast! The activities, the pancake breakfast (and the delicious lunch/dinner options) and the close proximity to Fort Stevens was PERFECT!
Apr 11, 2017
We were very happy with the cleanliness of the park and friendliness of the staff. Everything was great!
Apr 10, 2017
Clean, very clean. I stayed in a rustic camp cabin and participated in the 5K for the Autism Society of Oregon the KOA sponsored. Due to a windstorm the power was out. They had a generator going to light the office. The staff worked quickly and with good attitudes to get all the 5K people registered even though their main computers were down. Many amenities. Woodsy and near the beach.
Apr 10, 2017
Went for the Autism Color Run/Walk. Staff were excellent except for the lady serving breakfast. She was not a happy person with all these autism folks.
Apr 10, 2017
my sister and my grandaughters were there for the color the coast 5k walk/run and it was totally awesome !!!
Apr 10, 2017
This KOA is amazing---clean, well organized, lots of activities, and everything you need to have a memorable time. Dale and Jane and the staff always make you feel welcome and are very helpful with anything you need.
Apr 10, 2017
Fabulous in every way. Very kid friendly.
Apr 10, 2017
Great place to camp. Facilities need a lot of repairs. exampleso - none of the cooktops worked in the gazebo near my camp site. Bathroom fan squeals , shower stalls at pool were muddy and very difficult to contact office by phone.
Apr 10, 2017
Great! Fun!!
Apr 10, 2017
This KOA is a very nice place with lots to do for families. It is also very clean and the staff are very helpful. We were a bit surprised that our rv spot was not paved which we wouldn't have minded except for the rain. Part of the rv spots are paved, so you've got to ask about it if its a concern.
Apr 10, 2017
We love this campground! Been here many times over the last 10 year. Will defiantly be back.
Apr 10, 2017
Even with the power off due the storm, the staff and facilities were great. We will be back again.
Apr 10, 2017
Overall we really like this KOA. Since the last time we stayed they have made many improvements. However, I would have preferred the bathrooms being redone over the new pool. The shower near the pool never gets hot water. Also most all staff are great, but one guy chased us down because our hang tag was on dash instead of hanging from mirror when we pulled in 3rd day his attitude was not friendl
Apr 09, 2017
We had a great stay. The camp ground is right across the highway from Fort Stevens and a great location to stay while exploring the Northern shore of Oregon.
Apr 09, 2017
Had a great time even in the rain.
Apr 09, 2017
One of the very best we have stayed at.
Apr 09, 2017
Friendly staff, clean facilities. Our studio cabin was immaculate. We had stayed in one of the older cabins with no bathroom on a previous trip and although it was nice (minus the bat that had taken up residence) having the full bathroom in the studio cabin was wonderful. Especially with our 3 yr old grandson with us. Nice and warm. Great amenities. We will be back again and again..Thank you!
Apr 08, 2017
everything was perfect except the weather!
Apr 08, 2017
The only thing I was bummed about was the wifi was horrible. Not one time during the 4 days could I get connected.
Apr 08, 2017
Apr 08, 2017
Always a great place to stay
Apr 08, 2017
Only complaint was kids riding their bikes really fast thru our site. Also would recommend to lump similar age groups together. Seniors in more quiet areas with less kids and then families together so kids can find new friends if possible
Apr 08, 2017
The site I was in was an absolute mud hole. For a premium price I think most people expect an investment in some gravel. Getting stopped by the gate keeper every time we went in and out of the park made it feel like a Nazi camp. I paid to stay so stop harrassing me. The outdoor lighting did not work near my site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the feed back. Your right we can do better with gravel on your site. The staff at the entrance provides a safe and more secure environment in today's world there is a lot of comfort in knowing only guest are on property. The light we will fix sorry Dale
Apr 08, 2017
It was amazing to see the staff continually "bump" through the extreme pot holes in the main road by maintenance shop/garbage collection area. There is a pile of crushed rock within 200 feet of the worst holes! Also the sewer connection design at our site is higher than our trailer drain needing to lift sewer hose to drain.poor layout!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The pot holes we don't win with. Gravel roads tend to go bad all at once during high volume rainy days. The sewer concections are six inches off the ground. Thay can't be flush with the ground do to the large volume of rain here during the winter and the waist treatment can't handle storm water.Dale
Apr 07, 2017
The kids had a great time. Our campsite was slanted so it was hard to sit and cook since everything leaned. The ground on campsite 121 needs leveled. Pancake breakfast was awesome and all the fun activities for kids were perfect!!
Apr 07, 2017
It was pouring rain during our stay but thanks to the awesome facilities there was still plenty for our kiddos to do!
Apr 07, 2017
We very much enjoyed our stay.. Staff were extremely friendly, the grounds were clean. If I had one complaint it would be that the showers were a bit dirty. Overall we would give it a 4 out of 5
Apr 06, 2017
Every staff member from maintenance to front office greeted us with smiles and waves. Love this place
