Stay was pleasant however dust control was not. Lots of traffic on the dirt roads made for dirty vehicles and lots of dust in the RV. They really should do something to correct this.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the feed back. I have chosen to not use chemical for dust control and we do water roads. Thanks Dale

July fourth weekend so campground was full and busy.Advertised having Wi-Fi & cable. I was getting strong signal but was never able to connect - my phone, computer, tablet, nothing connected. No cable signal. Complained about both issues to the front desk. Was told the Wi-Fi signal is not password protected and the campground was busy. Told maint. would come to site to check cable, never came.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We failed you. The transmission tower was turn off and we didn't catch it, the cable was fully operational and we didn't follow up with you. Sorry Dale.

in a jam packed area with little to no room within the spots that you got and everyone and their family drove a car and parked them everywhere in the 400 site areas and blocked most of the main roads in that area. sites where half the size of the rest of the camp sites in the camp. 30 amps kept blowing and the sewage hook ups were so far above ground you had to jerry rig hangs to work. for the pri

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The property was built a long time ago when campers were smaller and the mind set was pushing profits from volume. We work on customer satisfaction but we can't just move sites. We are however adding on a new section and plan on doing better. thanks Dale

we always enjoy our stay this time was not as much fun We have decided that if our only choice was to be in the 400 loop we would not stay to far away from everything and with kids that just sucks. we have alot better time staying closer to all the fun activities so yes we had a ok time but will NEVER stay in the 400 loop again

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry about the distance from the activities. Hopefully next year we will have a new access through the woods. Dale

This is one of the premier KOA campgrounds. Large pull-thru, two pools, one indoor, great kids play area, nice restaurant, good location, nice store, great dog park!
Jul 04, 2016
Love all the activities for the kiddos. So nice to stay where it's so easy to keep them entertained anytime we are back at camp!

Stayed just before the July long weekend and other than the constant drizzle it could not have been better. Staying before the summer season allowed staff to keep the grounds and facilities spotless. Still our favorite KOA.

I had a phenomenal stay. Just a couple of wishes: that the theater/game room were open later and that for pool rules kids under 13 should not be allowed in hot tub for safety.
Jul 04, 2016
great time with the grand kids, just wished that the billiard table was taken care of better, sticks missing tips no chalk, it just says some one doesn't care. also ping pong table net was not good

Amazing staff!!!!! Wonderful amenities.just beautiiful.loved it.
Jul 04, 2016
I am happy with the last minute booking for sure and the fact that we were able to get into a 2 room cabin the night before we stayed. Quick tip - get to pancake breakfast early or you will wait for 20 minutes (in rain) when the camp is full! Tough to keep a place up when there are so many folks over the summer but the crew does great here! Kids perspective - Jumping pillow rules are l

Didn't know about the additional 10$ fee tacked on to the base rate. I think the state park across the street would work just fine and about half the cost
Jul 03, 2016
The amenities were great - lots for kids to do. Kamp K9 was a perk. Camp kitchens were huge - and hot water for dishes and showers!

Our first time staying at a KOA camp ground and we loved it. Staff were wonderful and helpful, facility was nice and clean...my son played outside from dust to down!! We will definitely come back again!!! Thank you to all the staff and ground workers!!!

Great location and great staff.

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed everything this KOA had to offer! My teenage daughters loved it and they are hard to please. Nice staff.

Everything was satisfactory except in the deluxe cabin they needed more towels and were not delivered in a timely fashion. Also, the tv in that unit was very limited and one station kept playing the same movie over and over (Beauty and the Beast). For the amount charged the channel service could be better and perhaps a simple DVD recorder/player would be wonderful for late evenings in the rain.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry about the towel exchange we can do better. We offer 46 channels, we have 4 movie channels that play on a loop themes movies matching the activities we are offering with one exception channel 40 is always Goonies. We also offer continues movies in the BFB from 9-9. Thanks Dale

This is an AMAZING place. We have stayed in the studio cabins. The facility would get 5 stars. I appreciate the fun staff who work in the resturant (especially Pancake man) the ground crew and Pixie at the jumping pillow. That being said beware of a few things. 1. They do NOT answer the phone. 2. They charge extra for EVERYTHING. 3.You must track down more cabin suplies when needed.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We prefer to assist customer in the registration, I think its rude to be in line and have a phone call taken instead of taking care of people waiting, We only charge for activities wen you receive a product, Stuff a bear, Tye Dye, etc. Sorry Dale

Mosquitos were a really big issue on our last night!. Why don't you recycle?????,

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Mosquito's are on their way out. The seasonal aspect is changing, We are a campground? We offer recycling depots on the end of every other row. The local Boy Scout collect and recycle and benefit from the cans and bottle. Thanks for the question Dale

I am a single mom to three children. All the children's activities were easily accessible and well monitored so I felt safe leaving my older children to play. There was plenty to do and the campground was clean. Thank you for a wonderful mini vacation.

It was nice!
Jul 01, 2016
Very pleasant setting. Many activities for families. The breakfast was great. Very friendly staff

Mildew and or mold growing on floors walls and cielings in cabins and bathrooms. Poor maintenence and house keeping gives otherwise nice kamp ground shabby appearance. Note to chef pancakes never get smashed onto grill it deflates them and gives a rubbery texture.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the information. The stain was an old location of mold or mildew that was treated long ago. The wood is stained. During the winter months and the rainy season the rustic aspect of "log Cabins" are a challenge to maintain and prevent staining. All is good we wont smash pancakes ever again

Too short of a stay

Nice KOA Campground for kids of all ages.
Jun 30, 2016
Your koa is the finest campground we've stayed in bar-none! We've stayed at Astoria koa for years, & each stay, we see more & more improvements every year! Keep it up
Jun 30, 2016
Clean park and friendly staff.
Jun 30, 2016
There are many activities for children, pancake breakfast was nice, but this is definitely not a tent friendly campground. They huddle them all together for zero privacy. Also, the door to our cabin only opened about 2" before making a horribly loud noise while it scrapped across the floor, making a quiet getaway during the night to use the restroom impossible/woke up all 3 of my small children.
Jun 30, 2016
Best KOA, great gate checkers!
Jun 30, 2016
We loved the pool and hot tub. The morning breakfast was very good. The lack of trees in our area bothered us a bit and even though the row we were on was empty except for one RV, we were placed right next to the other camper. I assumed the other spaces would fill up, but no. Friendly greeter and staff. cigarette butts in our spot. Horrible water pressure in shower. Cheap plastic showerheads.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the feed back. The area you were in is the best satellite area. we have 4 other areas with trees. We can do better about being so close and the the buts. Sorry. The shower heads we do use low flow for water conservation Dale

We had such a great time this past weekend. The outdoor pool, dog park and play area is absolutely perfect. We also love the new restaurant and that you can eat right by the pool! We can't wait to come back!
Jun 29, 2016
Never bored! Always something going on on the weekends. I love the free pancakes! The arcade building is awesome. Jumping pillow is awesome. Can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay. Only 2 suggestions; More info on services like garbage pick up. Let 'first timers' know what to expect so we don't have to figure stuff out the hard way. It could be easily added to the entry brochure. And why not have an earlier time stop on kids in the pool/spa so adults w/o kids can enjoy those things, too!!! Family stuff is wonderful, but adults need time, too!
