We enjoy staying at KOAs since they always are consistently good. Asheville West KOA was the best of the best for our stay. They contacted me via text prior to our visit to welcome us. My wife left her keys in the restroom and when someone turned them in the staff sent out a text to locate the owner. The entire park was very nice with nice extras and the staff was fantastic.

WEST ASHEVILLE KOA - great facilities and friendly staff willing to go the extra mile. Escorted us to the campsite. Brought us ice and wood from the store as it was close to closing time @ 4:30. Very clean and dog friendly. Shower and Bathroom was clean and maintained. Did not use the pool. We enjoyed our Thursday/Friday night. Close to Asheville. Noise - yes from i40. No smell from mill

The premium patio sites are 'eh' at best & not worth the money. The campground is fine for a base, but nothing great.

Very beautiful campground, bathroom clean, super friendly staff. Even had a garden — we picked a yellow squash! Very nice store too- even had ice cream! Thank you!

Great location near sights with the only issue bing road noise… if you are in an RV, and can close doors etc., then great. However, if in a tent I would recommend ear plugs. The campground itself is an excellent representation of how a campground should be. Clean, well spaced between sites, and the setup of the camp cabins is one of the best we’ve seen across America.

This is a nice campground if you are visiting Asheville or just passing through. I stayed 3 nights. There is a nice little store, adequate laundry facilities and a nice clean pool. The staff is super friendly. There are some cool trails in the woods around the campground for walking the dog or strolling with the kids. I would visit again for sure.

This Koa is by far one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed at in my numerous travels. Friendly and helpful staff; clean facilities and very level and well kept grounds/sites. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the Asheville area. Plan on spending some time there… so much to see and do in that area. Will definitely go back here again

Our stay was good even though the weather was not. We used and loved the covered picnic area. The only real negative was the dump station. It was too narrow to fit our truck and trailer through, and we ended up damaging our trailer. I would recommend spending the few extra dollars for sewer, and skipping the dump station.

Two weeks, good level, gravel, basic site with water, 30 Amp elect and waste station at site. Site also had sturdy newish picnic table and a fire ring. Site was back in to a wooded area so some privacy behind. Staff was fantastic! Pool was open and in use. (Too early in the year for me) Made use of 24 Hr game room and laundry. Office/Store stocked with basics and COFFEE.

High traffic noise coming from nearby interstate. Pull thru sides are too small. Very muddy after it rains.

Nice shaded spots. Well maintained. Friendly helpful staff. My only dislike was the bath house. There were 3 shower “rooms” and 2 bathrooms (1 women, 1 men) with 2 stalls each. As the campground filled up for the weekend it was difficult to get in for showers and random children running through screaming makes it not feel very safe. Overall, I would definitely recommend and will stay here agai

It’s perfect for overnight stay. Friendly staff. My only dislike is that their cable doesn’t have any local news channels that we could pick up.

The campground was adequate, the connections were easy to make, and the people were very nice. I was pleased with my luck in getting a place on such short notice. My only concern was about my reservation. I used my e-mail address only in the reservation page online. My wife (a completely different e-mail address!!) received an e-mail requesting our plans for arrival. How did you get that?

This was a one night stay. We wanted something off interstate. The site was level but small. It was challenging to pull out in the AM due to the cabin area we were across from and all the cars parked there. Doesn't make sense to allow parking in those spots. Noise from traffic was expected. We may be back. Thank you

Very good overall. Motion dectectors for the bathrooms should be done away with especially at night! The lights stay on all day. Sensors turn off way too soon if your inside a stall!!!

Very pleasant, friendly, easy pull in and out even considering the mountain area with some steep area. Highway 40 is very close so it is a little noisy, but that is to be expected.

Very friendly and clean...dog park is really nice and larger than some. Yes it's off of i40 but they will offer ear plugs etc. But it really wasn't much of a problem for us...

A lot of raid noise, but they tell you that up front. The camp was clean, the staff hard working and friendly! The sites need to be leveled better, but we were able to level using our blocks in our class A. They only have one dog park, and it's over where most of the long terms are ans if you are in the pull through up top its a long walk. They have a nice pool and nice trail around the camp. I'm not sure I would agree with it being called a holiday ( lack of amenities) but a good journey for a 2 day stay.

I was a tad nervous about the noise reading the reviews, but we did not have any issues with the traffic noise. This is a great jump off point to Asheville and close to anything you would need. The facilities were really well kept and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
