I called last minute about a tent site, they told me to come on over. The couple at the desk were friendly. The site was easy in & out. Shopping & gas nearby was a plus!! The bathroom & showers were clean. I paid $30 for the night which seemed appropriate for 1 camper in tent. I'd stay here again & recommend to anyone asking.

Our stay was great. We stayed here to be close to White Sands National Park and this KOA had sleds that we could borrow and take with us to the park! Nice people and clean facilities.

We discovered KOA campground last spring. It was the perfect seeing for me to take my kids solo. Clean, safe, lots to do inside and outside. The kids made friends and I loved it. It is in the city of Alamogordo so you do hear the city traffic and train whistles at night. It also means you are near sights within the city.

Nice facilities

Check-in was pleasant. Facility is attractive. However, the campground, near the highway and the railroad, never got quiet. Train horns, motorcycle engines, dumpsters being unloaded in the night. The worst was a crew with big trucks coming in before 7 am to work on the pool. We planned a relaxing day. We left after one night, cutting our trip short. Wish we had been warned of pool reno.

The campground was very clean and welcoming. We hadn’t ever stayed in a KOA before. The front desk/staff were very helpful and helped us plan our trip so we could avoid a dust storm/windy day in White Sands NP on Wednesday.

I got a tent site for 4 nights as a temp measure waiting for my new residence to be ready. I like tent camping anyway, so it was no hardship. First time at a KOA. Every possible, necessary, need was anticipated and available. The staff all seemed to enjoy their jobs, and that was reflected in the customer service. Well done!

Well kept KOA. North of the White Sands NP. Got fresh popcorn upon arrival. Beautiful office.

Very spacious site E6. Privacy fences. Close to White Sands NP. Stayed here mid-Feb 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #E6 General: Nice store and grounds. Easy access. Well-maintained with updated facilities. Staff: Staff is great! Owners are caring and polite. Sites: Spacious gravel sites with some privacy from fences. Large rock gravel. Campground Road: Gravel road. Campground WiFi: Could not always connect to campground WiFi Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Bathrooms/Showers: Women's showers were really nice—newly renovated! Private locked rooms. The men's showers were old and a bit smelly/dirty. Stall-style showers with a locking door to the stall. Laundry: Really nice newly renovated facility and the machines worked very well. Dried and washed well. Location: Gas, groceries, and restaurants all within 5-10 min. 20 min from White Sands NP. Near highway: No. You do turn off of the main road (route, not an interstate) and go back a few blocks so minimal road noise. Near train: Yes. Train is close but not immediately connected to the KOA. Cell using booster: AT&T (2 of 4 bars —4G) and Verizon (3 of 4 bars sometimes 4 bars—4G) worked well enough. Worked on VPN just fine and have Zoom meetings. Small moments of lag when using AT&T. Could stream as well on both networks.

This place was great! Safe, friendly. Nice private dividing walls. The kids played on the playground and also the pedal cars. Bathrooms were clean. All staff was friendly. It was away from the main road so not alot of road nose. Except for an occasional train tooting it's horn. We loved this place and we'll be coming back when visiting white Sands. Thank you!
