Hang your hat at the friendliest campground in Texas! The paved roads and large 50-amp pull-throughs can accommodate rigs up to 90 feet. This KOA is located in a former pecan grove near the intersection of I-20 and highways 277/83/84. Choose from sunny sites or shady ones, courtesy of the many mesquite and pecan trees. Either way, you'll enjoy a relaxing stay and famous Texas hospitality. There are hundreds of places to eat and shop in Abilene, and many restaurants will deliver to your site. Enjoy a dip in the pool or a game of pool on the billiard table. The grassy dog park and free treats are popular with four-legged campers. While in town, visit the Abilene Zoo, where the $5 admission lets you feed many of the animals and even get nose-to-nose with a giraffe. You also won't want to miss Frontier Texas!, a multimedia journey into Texas history.

Abilene Dragstrip - Abilene's premiere dragstrip features IHRA Points Racing, Brackets, Teen Championship Racing, Electronics, Non-Electronics, Street Money, Motorcycles and IHRA Jr. Dragsters. There is racing every weekend, with a complete schedule and information at their website.
Abilene Speedway - Dirt track racing at its best! There are races on Saturday nights from late February through September. Four of the six races every Saturday are IMCA sanctioned races.

The Grace Museum
Originally the grandest hotel in West Texas, this historic Mission-revival style building now houses The Grace Museum featuring 3 separate museums included in one admission.

12th Armored Division Memorial Museum
The 12th Armored Division Memorial Museum is a teaching museum for the study of World War II and its impact on the American People.
Paramount Theater
An Abilene Historic Landmark, the Paramount Theater is on the National Register of Historic Places. Inside the beautiful art deco building visitors will find slow, drifting clouds and twinkling stars on a blue sky. Neon and incandescent cove lighting alter the brightness and coloring of the sky beyond the archways and bell tower with twin domed turrets. Weekend classic films, art film series, plays and concerts presented throughout the year, with free weekday self-guided tours.
Dyess Air Force Base
Dyess Air Force Base is the sole training center for B-1 bomber crews. It houses an Air Combat Command wing with three B-1B and two C-130 Squadrons. Visit the Dyess Visitor Center for an overview of the base and its history. To tour the outdoor Linear Air Park with its 31 planes from WWII, the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts, and Operation Desert Storm, contact Dyess Public Affairs at 325-696-5609 or 325-696-2863.
Fort Phantom Hill
Visit the ghostly ruins of this 1851 Army post. As you walk among the dozen chimneys and three buildings you almost hear the soldiers going about their daily routine. Today Fort Phantom Hill is part of the Texas Forts Trail, a 650-mile highway tour of historic Texas forts in West Central Texas.
