We came in late and left early. But the lady was very nice and accommodating on the phone. We found our spot easily, the grounds and bathrooms were immaculate.

Unique
It seems unfair to rate a RV Park when they are new and just setting up. With that said The showers were Luke warm The Wi-Fi off and on. The free way was loud The noise from motel was loud. However the Charm of the Staff was impressive The site was level the power stayed on

Unique
Clean KOA in good condition with level pull-through site. Decent water pressure, stable 50 amp electric & adequate Wi-Fi. Only negative is - road noise from I-20.

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it. Some of the best host we have ever had. Nice older park but well maintained. Will stay again if in this area.

It was a wonderful experience! Our families had such a great time. We loved the RV Park and our grandson loved the playground area. The park was very clean and quiet! We definitely will return to this KOA in the future.

Under new management, this Journey KOA will soon be a definite stop for many. The couple now managing it are very nice, friendly, and helpful. We had a four night stay there to investigate the Abilene area and it was perfect. The old downtown area of Abilene is well worth a day of visiting museums and having a great lunch at one of the new restaurants. Buffalo Gap Historical Park is a must.

Friendliest KOA we have visited.

Site was ok but no Internet. The staff was fantastic. The owner opened the store for me which was closed to buy bottled water because my husband was sick. New administration. The women restrooms and showers were very clean but needs a little bit of love. Not much to do at the Abilene State Park.

Derrick and Jason and Richard and the whole staff were really nice and helpful with everything. It is very easy access and has easy pull through and large slots. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The lady that checked me in was very professional and friendly. A young man that was helping them (Jason ) guided me to our site . Very professional and helpful. We need more people like these folks. Thanks

You guys were nice and helpful. Thanks

It was nice and quiet, but I could see that if the park was full, it could get really crowded. We enjoyed our stay.

Staff are great. New management is trying to upgrade the park. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to the updates to the park.

camping on edge of brushy woods on one side, varmit and snake habitat. Noisy interstate opposite that with very little view. Shower was hot and clean, laundry appeared clean. For us an ok place to rest one night while moving on.

Donna at the desk was super nice. The campground needs a bit of TLC. We enjoyed our stay though.

It was nice, staff was friendly but the Wi-Fi didn’t work at our campsite. This is a dealbreaker for us.

We have stayed at this KOA many times. Although it has gone through multiple management changes, we still like staying at this RV park.

My site was not level.

Aloha, I am traveling the southern states coming from Hawaii moving to Arkansas. I've been staying at KOA's along the way and really enjoyed staying at the Abilene KOA Journey. Derrick and staff were friendly, accommodating, and professional. I appreciated the local information and history. Their recommendations were spot on. The park was quiet, well kept, and bathrooms were exceptionally clean.

PRETTY WELL PARK RIGHT OFF I-20 NORTHWEST OF DOWNTOWN ABILENE. BATHROOMS REMODELED AND CLEAN. INNER ROADWAYS CRUSHED GRAVEL SO AS IT RAINED THE PARK WAS PUDDLED. DID NOT IMPACT OUR STAY. OFFICE STAFF VERY NICE.

I had a tent site. The hotel lights next door lit up the site like a football field and the noise from the highway was above normal. On the positive the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the facilities were nice.

Nice enough for a night or two, or longer if you don't mind a little highway noise and the occasional sound of a B1B taking off or landing in the distance. The Good: Clean bath/shower rooms with enough pressure and temp for a good hot shower. Nice little playground for the little kids. Nice little dog park for the furry family members. Good sized sites, level and hard pack/paved (we were in a pull thru) and full hookups. Nice laundry room with competitive pricing $3.50 for a wash and dry as of this writing. There's also a little book and "stuff" exchange area in the corner of the laundry room. The staff are friendly and jovial. The Meh: Cell coverage (we have Verizon and ATT with a WeBoost) and wifi coverage is poor to spotty, with the wifi being non-existent further back in campground. Highway noise and the lights from the motel next door are noticeable if you're in the front of the park. If you're planning to stay for a while, ask for a spot in the back of the park. If you need propane, get it prior to arrival as theirs is out of service and has been for at least a couple of months (we stopped here in February and it was out of service then, it's now April)...not sure if they have any plans to bring it back online or not. Overall: The good far outweighs the meh and this is a good stop along I-20 if you need to rest for a spell.

Great campsite! We stayed for one night, everything was ready for us whenever we got there, the bathrooms were extremely clean and heated/air conditioned! The dog park was super clean as well! We choose a pull through site and it was super easy and convenient! Only downfall was the wifi wasn't the best, but we are camping, so.
