It was just what we needed. Easy access off the interstate and a good clean place to get out of the wind and spend a night.

Abilene KOA was a wonderful place to stay. The sites were well cleaned and maintained. You’re close enough to town to easily enjoy what Abilene has to offer, but far enough from town and the freeway to feel secluded. Couldn’t hear freeway noise inside my camper. The best thing about Abilene KOA is definitely the staff! Friendly, warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful! We will be back!

Very clean and well kept. The trees were trimmed back and it offered a very camp like feel for being right off the highway and next to a hotel. Road noise was minimal and access on and off the freeway was easy

Water pressure in shower so bad it would not penetrate my hair. Not that they can do much about it but this is the loudest KOA ever. Most are near major highways but the sound here was over the top.

Great Journey location. Got in late left early the next day. Only a 4 stars, site had trash and a rotting pumpkin on the table.

Really nice campground and nice girl up front. Ah fit a site near the back to get away from the highway noise.

We were there for 2 nights to attend area marching band competition. It served our purpose for this trip. However, the nearness to I20 and the lack of a noise barrier makes it quite noisy at night. The other issue we had was a missing cap on the sewer line and lackadaisical attitude of the staff when they were informed.

Very upset about the cable TV not working. We were traveling after 9 hrs, started to look for a place to spent the nite, saw KOA from interstate. Our goal was to watch the first game of world series. There was no notice on late check in box that cable not working. We would not have stayed if we knew this. Apparently it's been a long term problem that has not been fixed. Should receive discount!!!

Dog crap all over, even outside on our site. Check in was unfriendly. Confusing to get onto I-20. Nasty sites. I have worked many KOAs as a workcamper and this one was the worst ever! No care in the sites or the park. Take care of it please.

Office was dark during the day on Saturday. I don’t know why the lights weren’t on…the girl never apparently thought about it?!

Nice quiet spot. Very clean and kept. Only gave it four out five because the pool was not in service. Otherwise I’d given it a five.

Came in after hours--all the info I needed was waiting for me. Easy in/easy out. Very clean campground.

Cabin was fine, bathrooms were not. Two out of the four woman's bathroom lights were not working. One had no bulbs, the other needed a new ballast, flickered the whole time. Showered at 6am, shower number 1 had no hot water at all. The office was never open during my stay. Sign on door showed returning at 1:30PM. Laundry room did have a change machine.

Almost everything was great. We had fire ants close to where we hooked up so that was a little challenging. Otherwise it was fine.

Very nice park in the trees and nice dog park. The only downside is the road noise. Recommend requesting a site as far from the I-20 as possible. The other pet peeve of ours is when a park is only partially occupied why are all of the over niters put side by side when there are many other sites available. We shared a picnic area with another rig when it was not necessary

Stayed here a couple of times while traveling through Texas. Enjoyed each stay. Easy in/Easy out. Nice dog park. Great staff. Will be staying again.

So we, lol maintained . Lots of beautiful shade trees but trimmed so well making them no issue for big rigs. Great park.

Angelica and Niala treat you like family!!! Super sweet girls. The park is a lot emptier than previous stays. Not sure why. We stay here in our camper often. Have used the cabins and the park model. Very clean KOA would recommend if you are in the area to book a space, or cabin the park model is gone now. Always neat and clean restrooms. The whole park is well kept area. Nice, clean, spacious, level parking spots. Pulled in at 6:05 and office was closed. Disappointed. Information about obtaining a parking space was readily accessible.

Our stay was great! Friendly and helpful staff. Bathhouse clean and spacious. Laundry room was clean with plenty washer n driers. Easy in and easy out from the highway. The campgrounds were clean and well kept. Campsite was spacious, long for a pull in.

Nice enough for a night or two, or longer if you don't mind a little highway noise and the occasional sound of a B1B taking off or landing in the distance. The Good: Clean bath/shower rooms with enough pressure and temp for a good hot shower. Nice little playground for the little kids. Nice little dog park for the furry family members. Good sized sites, level and hard pack/paved (we were in a pull thru) and full hookups. Nice laundry room with competitive pricing $3.50 for a wash and dry as of this writing. There's also a little book and "stuff" exchange area in the corner of the laundry room. The staff are friendly and jovial. The Meh: Cell coverage (we have Verizon and ATT with a WeBoost) and wifi coverage is poor to spotty, with the wifi being non-existent further back in campground. Highway noise and the lights from the motel next door are noticeable if you're in the front of the park. If you're planning to stay for a while, ask for a spot in the back of the park. If you need propane, get it prior to arrival as theirs is out of service and has been for at least a couple of months (we stopped here in February and it was out of service then, it's now April)...not sure if they have any plans to bring it back online or not. Overall: The good far outweighs the meh and this is a good stop along I-20 if you need to rest for a spell.

Great campsite! We stayed for one night, everything was ready for us whenever we got there, the bathrooms were extremely clean and heated/air conditioned! The dog park was super clean as well! We choose a pull through site and it was super easy and convenient! Only downfall was the wifi wasn't the best, but we are camping, so.
