The Prairie Provinces Region has a climate that varies as the provinces contained within it are bordered by mountain ranges on the western portion and transition through grassland plains to the edge of Hudson Bay on the northeastern part. In Alberta, the climate is humid continental, with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Saskatchewan has a continental climate with warm to hot summers and very cold winters. Manitoba has a continental climate and due to the flat landscape, experiences cold air from the north or hot air masses from the south. Southern Manitoba around Winnipeg is more humid with warm, moderate summers. Through these provinces, the popular times to camp are from April/May through September/October and the KOA campgrounds in this region are well-suited for all of your camping needs.
